Don't you think this device is not production ready ? All the software seems still in development (the widows app, the android app and the beam device. Why couldn't they have put a fill android os on the beam device or an "android TV" os on the device. Right now yu are stuck with the few apps they gave you. Sideloading works but is complicated especially each time your application forces you to upgrade your apk file (each week), if you don't upgrade you can't use it anymore because there is no "app store" doing the upgrades. I think the xreal glasses will never sell good, as long as the software stays poor (immature).

The Beam may make me pull my Nreal Air glasses out of the drawer and dust them off. Specifically the ability to use DEX more effectively. Being able to Use my phone apps instead of the stupid Nebula while I lock lock the screen to a spot and zoom it in as needed for working on docs and whatnot. Now if they could come out with a fix to have multiple apps/screens up like in the Nebula but the apps I actually need to access, that would be extra cool.

If I remember right, doesn’t the Nebula app for Mac have body anchor and up to three virtual screens, and isn’t that app also coming to Windows soon? The Beam is great for phones and consoles, but for laptops and even handheld computers like the Ally, I’s rather have the spacial computation done on the device itself. Makes the whole thing cleaner

Does the nebula app on Mac allow the 330" screen mode? Does it all the hide in corner feature? The biggest use cases for pairing with PC and Mac is the wireless mode, which should work great for most use cases.

I loved the concept and I was committed but I had to return both pairs I received due to one lens, or the other, being blurry. I thought it was a dirty lens or a defect until I received the second pair to find that the opposite lens was blurry. It would give me headaches and hurt my eyes. :/ I wanted to love them.

Yeah the issue is the lenses are too small. Everyone’s head and face is shaped differently. Even tho you can adjust the sides. It still won’t help a lot if people. You probably didn’t know. But not only can you change the nose part. But you can pull them and they will stick. So if you have blurred vision on the left eye. Pull the nose part really hard to the left or right until you get it in your field of view. But they don’t tell you this. I found out and just did it as a last attempt before I returned them. But it worked. Granted. It does put a little more pressure on one side of my nose. But it was worth it. I ended up keeping them. But hopefully they will just make bigger lenses. So no one has to do this. I would pay more to have them custom fitted. Now that I type this. I might take the to a glass shop and see if they can adjust them. Anyway. Sorry for the rant.

@Food4thought1234 I don't know if @YungFalconX has the same issue, but I too will be returning my Air2 Pro because of the blurry lenses. It makes sense for one side to be blurry, but my eyes need to be closer to the lenses to see the entire screen and that makes the overall experience uncomfortable, plus my eyelashes are touching the lens which I can't live with. Maybe I can buy xbeam to use the center of the screen but the lens has some blurry parts here and there which can't be fixed. Good for just watching a few TV series or movies and playing some games while lying on the couch. I just don't want to spend €515 for it.

Use it for my Mac and steam deck , iPad Pro and mobile phone. Three screen with Mac, duel screen with iPad, desktop with mobile phone and its screen as track pad. Great for on the go and while in bed. Also at work for working in rooms with no monitor.

Own the glasses since around march I believe they are awesome! Really a game changer. I think if xreal came out with a small camera that could attach to the glasses to enable a full scale ar experience it could take them to another level. Will be posting indepth review on my website soon If anyone interested in buying these my number one recommendation is just to try to be gental with them and dont lay head on glasses particular the arms like i did😂.

@@iphone2web Absolutely yes I use them that way sometimes however These current versions may not be the best option to do so right now.I only say that because this is still a fairly new tec far as it becoming really useful. They are still ironing out the kinks. I think alot of people may not use them that way initially because they are noticable heavier than normal glasses and they do start to ware down on the nose after a while which can get uncomfortable. For me I've gotten use to it but I still notice it after I've had them on for a while. I believe in the future Ar glasses will be the optional way to work replacing computer screens.

We are now a bit futher in time. What are currently the best video glasses ? Maybe you do know if some really great ones are coming out in less then 6 months ? I really want to use them also at my work functioning as an extra monitor. And for watching content like also movies when i am commuting for three hours in a train. 4 times a week. I will use my own on ear bluetooth headset for audio. Or very good inear buds. It is not a problem if i have to use a powerbank often. Any advice is very very welcome because i do not have much knowledge. And i want to level that up quickly with the help from some experts as you are.

Bought them around a month ago… I tried the work use first whilst out at a coffee shop.. then tried to watch a movie.. was really impressed with it.. I’ve now hooked it up to my mac with the nebula app to gain the 3 screen format… bang for buck is brilliant, when you see the price of the upcoming Apple Vision Pro, and that hasn’t even been announce for the UK… Well worth it

It would be really cool if there was a camera that could record my hand while I'm drawing. This way, I could see both my hand and the drawing screen right in front of me without having to bend my neck. But, I doubt they'll ever create something like this since not many people might need it. In any case, I think this would be the most practical and sensible way to use it.

its 2 OLEDs - one in each eye - with each being 1080p x 1920 if I am correct. It looks just like you are looking at an OLED tv because you are. Colours for red and orange especially look over - saturated and a bit too vivid but xreal know about this already and have said they are working on firmware updates to make it less vivid and more natural colour.

I want to get a set of vr glasses for when I use remote play with my Xbox. But the video can only be transfered between so many devices before the latency becomes a problem lol I already get audio latency when using Bluetooth headsets when using remote play on my phone. I can only imagine the latency issues casting my Xbox from my Xbox, to my phone, then through to another display, that also then tries to handle the audio lol one day though

There is still no beam update for the screen to be only vertically fixed in anchor mode so that it stays down on your chest like a Dead Space chest mounted display and still turns with you left and right..

Hi, the Beam supports play & charge under wireless mode. You can use the Beam with your PC or phone by wireless connection, then the power port can be connected for charging. I'm not sure where they came up with the 100 inch screen thing. I have these glasses and a 32 inch monitor. When I were these glasses and look through them at my 32 monitor they are about the same size. This would be at the same distance from me.

XREAL app supports mirroring screen from the phone to the glasses, that means whatever you open on the phone, you will be able to see on the glasses, unless they block camera app for some odd reason.

Hi, the glass used with the XREAL Beam is the same as the previous version, same resolution but a different firmware version. The Beam is a newly released product, it not only supports powering the glass, but also supports casting the device screen as a 3Dof virtual screen. And you can adjust the screen size and distance. The streaming apps can be used by a wired connection with the Beam.

Can someone explain to me how these went from a 130" screen to now a 330" screen? Is it the beam that is making that possible, or did they drop a new air headset. Also, on Amazon it says it's 201". I'm genuinely confused about the screen size. Where are they getting these numbers from? Because you can be looking at the wall and it's 7 inches then look outside and it's 500 inches. What is the field of view of these things?

130 inch is when you have just the glasses as this is the default size. When you plug it into the beam this allows you to adjust the size of the screen up to a max of 330 inch as well as its distance away from you. For example you can make it a 200 or a 330 inch screen that's 4, 5 or 6 metres away from you. Obviously a 330 inch screen thats close up would be silly as that's like having your 60 inch flat screen tv 2 inches in front of your nose.

Just got my Beam today and when trying to connect wireless to my iPhone, I can mirror screen the phone itself, but cannot mirror screen any apps such as Netflix, Prime, HBO, etc. Without being able to wirelessly watch movies on our apps, is nothing more than a wired adapter, which I already have. There is only one scenario where the Beam will make sense over the adapter, and that is when XReal will allow us to install apps such Netflix, Prime, HBO, Disney+ on the device itself. Until then is just another wired adapter in my case.

How can I find prescription glasses for these shades pleaseeeeee

The prescription frame is included inside the box of the glasses. Then you just give the frame to your optician and tell them what prescription lens you want putting in them.
