How to paint an Artichoke with PanPastels Pastel Pencils Bristle Brushes
In this painting demonstration, I will be painting an Artichoke.
The art supplies I use are PanPastels, pastel pencils on Pastelmat (Anthracite), along with masking film and using a very sharp blade to carefully cut away masked off areas I want to be protected during my painting process.
Art Supplies
PanPastel colours Raw Umber X Dark, Raw Umber, Raw Umber Tint, Chrom Oxide X Dark, Chrom Oxide Green, Chrom Oxide Tint, Bright Yellow Green Shade, Bright Yellow-green Tint, Magenta X Dark, Black
Pastels pencils
Pastelmat 24cm x 16cm or 9.5 inch x 6.3inch Anthracite
Bristle brush for the background
Bristle Brush for artichoke (large shadow)
¼ inch angle synthetic brush - Art Basics Taklon
Spare piece of paper to use as a mixing palette
Glassine paper to protect your subject as paint
Paper towel to wipe off excess pastel as you paint along.
Masking film X-Express IT
