Good point on $2 vs $2.50. Am mostly tempted to catch falling knives for greater % returns but I'm beginning to see that better returns may come from not having to dca so much but to have a series low risk, higher probability purchases in my portfolio. Love to see a vid on how you gauge stop placement. Cheers.

Thanks, Peter! You’ve nailed an important point-sometimes it’s not just about catching the bottom but managing risk for higher probability setups. I’d love to hear more about how you’re refining your approach. Are you focusing more on specific levels or indicators to time those low-risk entries? Stop placement is a great topic for a video-I’ll definitely add it to the list and i'll try and get round to doing a video on this tomorrow! It’s such a crucial part of managing risk. What’s been your biggest challenge with stops so far? I try and look at in 2 different ways. Longer time horizon and shorter timeframe. If i've got an investing head on i'll be looking to scale into risk and average my levels down, but expecting that I will get a bounce when market sentiment changes. This is why I always say it's important not to have all of your eggs in one basket because ultimately anything can happen and any asset can go to zero other than perhaps the top few. We found this in the last cycle with Luna. So the key for me is to ensure that im fully diversified so the winners can take care of the losers, for scaling out just flip in reverse, ensuring that profits are taken along the way. Trading is a completely different mindset, i like to scale in and out of positions but my stops will always be below the previous swing low on the timeframe i'm trading, the lower the risk margin the better and i'm hoping ideally only a couple of ladder entries get hit, rather than all so i'm not overly concerned if my full position gets hit at all. Would you say this current sell off is the institutional selling for tax purposes that you've been talking about? Hence, might we be looking for a bounce from Jan 1 ?

Great question, Peter! It’s definitely possible that what we’re seeing now is institutional selling for tax purposes but ultimately the market just looked overheated for December-it lines up with the patterns we’ve discussed in past end-of-year sell-offs. But the big question is whether this year’s macro factors could make things play out differently. We have bearish divergences across many chart in the crypto market on higher timeframes, i'm intrigued to see how this bull market plays out and how its different to other cycles. We havent had a black swan capitulation this cycle, could this reset the divergences and shake out the weak hands and the leverage??? Ultimately nobody knows but I like to ask these questions? A January bounce is historically common after these sell-offs, but what do you think could drive it this time? Could we see a big stimulus package being agreed throughout 2025, boosting the economy? Will any big news event drive mainstream adoption? What will be the major catalyst for the next cycle? I would love to know your thoughts?
