LYRICS: Got a big plan, this mindset maybe its right At the right place and right time, maybe tonight And the whisper or handshake sending a sign Wanna make out and kiss hard, wait never mind Late night, and passing, mention it flipped her Best friend, who knows saying maybe it slipped But the slip turns to terror and a crush to light When she walked in, he froze up, believe its the fright Its cute in a way, till you cannot speak And you leave to have a cigarette, your knees get weak An escape is just a nod and a casual wave Obsessed about it, heavy for the next two days It's only just a crush, it'll go away It's just like all the others it'll go away Or maybe this is danger and he just don't know You pray it all away but it continues to grow I want to hold you close Skin pressed against me tight Lie still, and close your eyes girl So lovely, it feels so right I want to hold you close Soft breasts, beating heart As I whisper in your ear I want to fucking tear you apart Then he walked up and told her, thinking that he'd passed And they talked and looked away a lot, doing the dance Her hand brushed up against his, she left it there Told him how she felt and then they locked in a stare They took a step back, thought about it, what should they do 'Cause there's always repercussions when you're dating in school But their lips met, and reservations started to pass Whether this was just an evening or a thing that would last Either way he wanted her and this was bad He wanted to do things to her it was making him crazy Now a little crush turned into a like And now he wants to grab her by the hair and tell her I want to hold you close Skin pressed against me tight Lie still, and close your eyes girl So lovely, it feels so right I want to hold you close Soft breaths, beating heart As I whisper in your ear I want to fucking tear you apart

One day, he sent me this song, telling me it was how his character viewed the protagonist, and it fit so perfectly, I had it on loop every time I wrote scenes between them. I haven't been able to get in contact with him for months now. He was in a very bad place last time we were in contact, and I'm worried I'll only see him again on the other side. Today I found this song again, and it inspired me so much to write Salem... and gave me the true person to dedicate the novel to. Cruci, if you're still out there, please... For those who wonder what exactly is wrong with Lydia: At 3:00 you can see her shining. The red light on Tommy's cheek. He notices it and starts asking what is she. The same red light is coming from men who saved her at 4:10, right after she asks them "who are you?" At first I watched this video several times and didn't get it. Thought the light was coming from a car passing or whatever lol Great vid though, love it and the song too

Listening to the song, I never expected this video. Now I really appreciate the band is called "she wants revenge." I got creepy, stalkerish vibes listening to this song, as catchy as it is, and I guess they were singing from the guy's side. They could have also been singing from the side of all the people who were curious about her. But the video is empowering; Lydia, as soft and sweet as she seems, has a special power or unique quality that no one can take away, not even the guy she loves. It could be a symbolism of anything-her being a misfit, too intelligent, neuro-divergent, mental health issues, insanely creative, even aspects of her sexuality, etc. Ofc it's depicted like a horror movie, but if you look at it symbolically, Lydia isn't evil. She has something that makes her different and it both intrigues ppl with bad intentions but also repels them. She probably has to keep moving due to having a hard time in her environments, and this probably also creates challenges in relating to her family, until she finds some safe people in the end who understand her struggles. The video is bitter-sweet.

[Verse 1] Got a big plan, this mindset, maybe it's right At the right place and right time, maybe tonight In the whisper or handshake, sending a sign Wanna make out and kiss hard? Wait, nevermind Late night in passing mentioned it flipped To her best friend, it's nothing, maybe it slipped But the slip turns to terror, and a crush to like Then she walked in, he froze up, believe it's the fright [Verse 2] It's cute in a way till you cannot speak And you leave to have a cigarette and knees get weak Escape was just a nod and a casual wave Obsess about it heavy for the next two days It's only just a crush, it'll go away It's just like all the others, it'll go away Or maybe this is danger, and he just don't know You pray it all away, but it continues to grow [Chorus] I want to hold you close, skin pressed against me tight Lie still, close your eyes, girl, so lovely, it feels so right I want to hold you close, soft breath, beating heart As I whisper in your ear, "I want to fucking tear you apart" [Verse 3] Then he walked up and told her, thinking maybe it'd passed And they talked and looked away a lot, doing the dance Her hand brushed up against his, she left it there Told him how she felt and then they locked in a stare They took a step back, thought about it, what should they do? Cause there's always repercussions when you're dating in school But their lips met, and reservations started to pass Whether this was just an evening or a thing that would last [Verse 4] Either way, he wanted her, and this was bad Wanted to do things to her, it was making him crazy Now a little crush turned into a like And now he wants to grab her by the hair and tell her [Chorus] I want to hold you close, skin pressed against me tight Lie still, close your eyes, girl, so lovely, it feels so right I want to hold you close, soft breath, beating heart As I whisper in your ear, "I want to fucking tear you apart" I want to hold you close, skin pressed against me tight Lie still, close your eyes, girl, so lovely, it feels so right I want to hold you close, soft breath, beating heart As I whisper in your ear, "I want to fucking tear you apart" I want to hold you close, skin pressed against me tight Lie still, close your eyes, girl, so lovely, it feels so right I want to hold you close, soft breath, beating heart As I whisper in your ear, "I want to fucking tear you apart"
