I had a GT race at Hakone that was 13 laps. Had a battle with 2nd place (i won) for 12 of the 13 laps. He had more straight line speed and would get me on the straight and i would claw back. Won by less than 0.2s. One of the best battles I've ever had on any online racing game. Having a lot of fun online so far

Same! Had a GTX race where we traded places twice on the last lap for 1st place, he got me out the last corner but he picked up a penalty that meant I won the race. It’s been really really fun.

Im really glad to see alot of people enjoying the game and multiplayer but, its driving me f*cking nuts how oversteery ever car is, the fact that you can power slide FWD cars and LMP cars in the exact same way is insane. It breaks the emersion for me and sucks to experience after jumping out of ACC and AC. But watching Albono enjoy the game will always be a good thing.

​@CITRUS-- Try to increase downforce and use traction control. You can see videos from other people using GT3s and Prototypes without sliding. You can even reach the real lap times of the cars in real life with a proper tune. There's some ACC youtubers like Dan Suzuki that say Forza is a lot of fun.

Penalties definitely need to be worked on I got spun out near the front and ended up with a 2 second penalty while the other person didn’t receive any penalty. Thought it was funny but yea I’d like to see it tweaked a bit 😂

i think the penalty system is pretty good. only a few times where I got penalized for something I didn’t do but for the most part, it can recognize when a collision is just a racing incident and not intentional

I was about to overtake in the straight of grand oak in one of my rookies, and the guy literally turned on me and I got 0.5 penalty. Sadly that was my first experience with the penalty system, I spent the entire race trying to avoid crashing, managed to do it, and that happens and he got no penalty.

@@joshuawhelan9358 maybe i’ve been getting lucky. something i’ve been experimenting is whenever I go off track or have a collision that may be penalty worthy, i slam on the breaks for .1-.2 secs so that i “lose time” and then carry on. I’ve been pretty successful in avoiding penalties that way. I think part of the system is it checks if you gained time or not. I would give that I try and see if it’s been successful for you

I never jump right into playing a game without fixing the video settings, so I never had any issues at all. Game looks great, and I'm getting a solid 60 at 4k high settings with ray tracing on.

The multiplayer has been incredible. Occasional rammers but nothing like FM7. Game has its problems to clean up but it has some legs with how good the multiplayer is. Looking forward to more videos, hoping to see some wheel/controller settings videos soon?

I think it feels like a good-but-raw foundation for a really good racing game, meaning there are issues that need to be addressed and content that needs to be added but the core racing experience is really good. The things I dislike about the game are very fixable (or in some cases just self-inflicted wounds from dumb decisions), so I'm excited to see what the game looks like after it's had a couple of big updates to react to feedback and bugs.

Lately the internet has been on a roll on absolutely hating everything new that comes out, sometimes they have a point, but they always act like it's the worst thing ever. There's definitely issues with the game, especially optimization-wise on pc, that warrant critique but the gameplay is so damn good. They just gotta fix those graphical glitches and tweak the penalty system and possibly the car leveling system.

Same here although I am extremely disappointed that there is no drift mode yet I assumed since they had drift parts that there was going to be a drift mode so most of the cars I worked on unlocking parts for at the start are cars I'll never circuit race. Well unless there is a series for BMW 3 series and 240SX platforms

I am blown away. I cannot understate how good Forza is online. I've played all night last night. And every single race was clean, close racing. It truly is a power moment for sim racers online. The penalty system is fantastic. It really makes everyone try that but harder to be clean. I was not expecting to love it so much. Genuinely, Forza Motorsport 2023 is one of the best oije racers I've ever had the privilege of playing.

I have one pole so far in a TC race and got turned and wrecked on a straightaway within half a lap. That being said, most of the racing I’ve seen has been squeaky clean through most of the field. The safety rating really shines there

Going through the esses at Indy, a way I learned to shift is to go 2nd-3rd-2nd, depending on your pace, but at times I just remain in 2nd, I’ve greatly enjoyed Forza so far tho

I just did my first multiplayer last night the the civic type r touring car around laguna seca short. It was a great race. Nobody punted anyone and everyone raced fair. I ended up on pole and won the race with another car keeping close to me for 3/7 laps before he spun out. I think the qualifying method needed some explaining as you only get 3 laps and you can start it whenever you want even in practice. That was the only thing that threw me off so I only had one lap of fuel left by the time I hit qualify

I’m finding the best strategy so far in most online hoppers is Hard to Soft. In the practice sessions I work out how many full laps with 0 grip loss I can do on the softs then I know when to pit in the race. If you end up half way through a lap and the tyres fall off it’s not worth it IMO to do a Medium/Medium

I think this is where it ultimately shines .. its not groundbreaking graphics wise (on series S) , in that it doesn’t blow you away , but the on track action is imo second to none. The game has had some real bad YT vids slating it , but playing on a series S , it runs and plays great !

The races are amazing and pretty clean, the mazda open wheel races are very fun, battle with 5 cars for the lead. TCR and GT are amazing also
