Hi Robert, if possible can you go over how to set up momentary push switches with this VFD. I'm thinking one has to use the internal rely outputs TA TB TC but I can't find any videos that show how to do that with this VFD.

Do these units have current overload ? - cant seem to find and set any parameters for them

Great video Robert. Any updates to looking forward to? I just hookup my first VFD XSY-AT1-1500 last night on bench went through all the parameters before hooking up to Baldor 3PH 1HP 1700rpm motor. This setup will be going on my old Clausing lathe. The default setting were OK to startup with. I have made a few changes deceleration time between forward/reverse. Since all the other YT are from Europe, I assume we need to change the 50Hz to 60Hz. There are several parameters not sure about. At first, I thought I had a bad 15 amp breaker since after turning off the stopped VFD still looked like it was powered ON. Realized that the caps where still powering the PCB until they discharge several minutes later. Would like to see a detail walk through the parameters as you setup for your mill.

Biggest things to make sure you set up are motor parameters. You definitely don't want to exceed rated horsepower or current. MySweety no longer sells the XSY-AT1, they now sell the YL600 which has a different parameter set. I will be setting one up soon and we can go thru the motor parameters.

I‘ve installed a 0.75 kW version of this XSY-AT1 to my 0.55 kW motor of my milling machine. Everything works really fine, there is only one problem that I don‘t know how to solve. I saw that some parameters are there for a torque compensation, which I want to use at low rpm. The parameters 70-72 which are related to this, are not well explained. Did you set anything there? It seems that P70 is for the torque compensation mode (only current or current plus voltage) and P71 and P72 set something, this is where I‘m lost. Any idea from your side would be appreciated.

P70 Torque compensation options 0: P72 is compensation amount; 1: Multiply P72 by P71 after P71 minus input voltage 0 P71 Torque compensation voltage 0---300.0 10 V P72 Torque compensation setting 0---100 0 I would leave P70 set to 0 and set P72 to 100.... I agree this is worded strangely. (P71-Vin)xP72= a crazy number every way I try to figure it. On other VFD make/models setting torque boost 0-100 to 100 yields full boost.

Robert Thompson , thank you for your fast answer! By leaving P70 at 0, it‘s only P72 that has an influence. I will try that out tomorrow and feedback to you. I‘m happy to have a motor with a resetable bimetal temperature protection, so that higher torque at low rpm will not kill it.

Robert Thompson , I tried it out today. My motor is a 3000min-1, 0.55kW, 2.36A at 230V 50Hz in triangle. Gear ratio motor:spindle is 3:1. With P70 and P72 at 0, the current at 600min-1 (=200 at the spindle) is at 0.05A, and when I stopped the spindle by hand, which was easy, the current was 0.2A. Then I set P72 to 50 and tried again. It was impossible to stop the motor by hand, it draw 1,2A in idle and not more under load. But when I changed the rpm, the motor draw around 1500min-1 in idle already 2.5A, so above the motor spec of 2.36. At higher rpm, the current was not rising any more but falling, around 3000min-1 and higher, the current was same as without torque compensation. I reduced P72 to 35, checked that the current did never exceed the spec, and tried some milling. Totally different, much more torque and a quite stable spindle rpm under load and without load. This is a great little inverter. Thank you so much for your help!

@@Herr_Bone glad you got it to work. 2.5A isn't much above 2.35 amps (typical service factor of 1.1 so this should be ok) check your motor for temperature rise, this is the real limiting factor

Hello, I have a problem with the same inverter, namely after connecting according to the instructions and starting the motor starts to vibrate, do you know what could be the reason

Check to be sure you haven't made a mistake in your wiring. Sounds like maybe the wiring on the motor where its wired for 240v.

Do you mean the motor wiggles back and forth instead of turning? How is your motor wired? Inside the junction box on the motor are there 6,9 or 12 wires coming out of the motor?
