Maleficent has always been a more interesting individual in the context of Kingdom Hearts than she was in her original movie, partially thanks to getting more actual screen time. So many people seem to forget that she's a fairy, just like Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather... which means that her capabilities are many and varied, and her intentions may seem to change at a moment's notice. Nomura is definitely working towards something big with her, post-KH3, whether or not there was some floundering around after KH1.

Maleficent is one of the greatest villains in the kingdom hearts series, I'm glad I get to see more of her in the union cross game.

Once in KHII, again in 3D for that plotline that amounted up to diddly-squat in the grand scheme of things. Where the heck IS that raven the rest of the time? In the manga, that's not really a question worth asking since it's always with her there, like in the movie. But here? Where the heck IS that raven?

@@smoothsoulbrotha What? Theres not a single Disney villain across the entire franchise that is close to even being as integral as Maleficent. 1. Relevant in virtually every game and spin off 2. Given strict ties to KH lore itself 3. Given character development

@@willbrown6298 Reread my comment. Of course Malificient is all of that. She is seen as the leader of the villains. She always has been Disney's big bad. Nomura awkwardly started to include her in the background when he revived her till he figured out now what he wants to do with her. She's no longer leading or influencing the Disney villains. Her inclusion now is lazy writing that you adore for some reason.

@@smoothsoulbrotha Sorry about that, I thought you were including the rest of the first game's villians as if they had anything going for them, my bad. Her impact cumulatively is still arguably more important than her role in the first game. Like anyone could have stepped up as leader, been defeated, and left no more of an impact. Looking at her independently in each game, shes largely negligible, but as a whole? Nomura is building something with her to have a big payoff.

The way Maleficent refers to Xehanort as the old man with a plan makes him seem eerily similar to the MoM. Did anyone else get that vibe, or am I just reading too much into it? These character file videos are still excellent man! Jesus Christ be with you friends.😊

You know, this really solidified for me something I think we all kinda suspected: the subplot in Re:Coded and 3D about her and the data and Jiminy's Journal and what not was a complete waste of time; Nomura got bored with that idea and came up with the black box instead. I hope I'm wrong! But it's *interesting* how her glorified cameo in 3D gets zero reference in this profile, and her wanting the world's data isn't brought up ONCE in KH3. Let's not even get into the weird wibbly-wobbly timeline nonsense happening here in how it recaps BBS. Like...Nomura. The castle was covered in thorns VERY briefly. She talked with Xehanort then? How the hell does she know ANYTHING about the Keyblade and the Wayfinder Gang and all that in the time before that? Was she just making wild ass *guesses* up until then? "Its a blade that looks like a key...a...Keyblade? Sure let's roll with that. That girl's got blue hair, like water....Aqua? Oh hey, she responded. Okay." And then Xehanort stops by for a quick second, Maleficent going to that chamber on a whim, I guess, rather than immediately going down to fry Aqua and the Prince? Then he tells her the stuff she already knew just by guessing, and that must've happened in the span of ten seconds judging by the pace in game. And somehow she knew Xehanort before she actually met Xehanort? Is that what this story is trying to tell me? 'Cause it seems like the timeline of BBS was basically twisted into a friggin' *pretzel* here. Something tells me Nomura remembers the events of Enchanted Dominion the way it was in the Beta trailer? Except that's not how it *actually happened* in the finished product. I'm starting to think even Nomura's losing track of his own narrative which is a *frightening* thought.

If anyone shall defeat Maleficent in the next saga. I hope it's the Master or Luxu. It would be a lot more interesting to see Maleficent being defeated by another protaganist.

Since Maleficent is mane Disney villain in kingdom hearts multivers and she surche the black box and now she found it and I imagine in the next KH video games Maleficent could gathering some other Disney villains that Sora and his friends difit them from KH1,2&3 KHBSB KHDDD and other KH video games coming soon kinder like master Xehanort did for KH3 but only 13 Disney villains she choose and she can bring them back to life like she bring Oogi boogie in KH2 and because the black box have 13 locks 7 in front and 3 on left and right p.s. don't think Oogi boogie will return in KH4or5 after what he did and say to her. GOOD LUCK FOR A SECOND CHANCE OOGI BOOGIE!
