I didnt see this one coming! ‪@xToollaser‬ just dropped an upgrade to their P2 model called the P2S. Is it worth buying over the regular P2? These are my initial thoughts!

AtomStack has just announced their 55w CO2 laser the Hurricane. Using the same red light alignment system as the P2S. Also uses the same type of enclosed glass tube. The competition is on. They are offering $1000 off the $3700 price if one pre orders with $99 down. They mention faster printing, enhanced batch processing and include fire suppression, 5mp camera. Not much mentioned about their air extraction system or air assist.

If it’s the same machine, they should just make these additional parts replaceable on the original P2.

cool breakdown thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. You know if a whole market is created for adapters to fix a problem. The factory needs to fix the problem permanently and it sounds like xTool did that. Bravo🎉

I feel you. I also work with xTool, but primarily with the more DIY/hobbyist diode machines. I didn't hear about this either and I was just finalizing a 4th anniversary collaboration with them last night!

@@justinlaser from what I was told last night, they have a small quantity of early machines for reviewers right now, so they're sending them to the bigger, laser-only channels. Makes sense.

Thank you for your review. I have a P2 + F1 and they add F1ultra and now P2S 😅. Nevertheless im happy with them so far. Do you have any recommandation for a laser with bigger bedsize/workspace? I saw a new TYVOK launching. Had never heard of them before. Do you have an opinion on that? Have a lovely day. Best Regards from Corsica, France.

I havent heard of the TYVOK I will have to look into it! If you want larger bed size youll need to look into the mid-range co2 lasers. Larger bed sizes but also larger machines overall.

The curved surface thing is for use on a curved surface when using the rotary tool. Like say you have a tumbler or glass that is not level with the laser while rotating. I've been wanting this and I hope they bring it to the S1 as well. Should just be software.

They list on the page that the retail will be $4299 so the $30 deposit (which they say is refundable) is $300 in savings plus the additional honeycomb. Also, in the FAQ at the bottom, they talk about shipping September 23 and October 15 depending on the color you get. Some of this may have been added to the page after you made the video.

Nice video Justin. Thanks The machine looks nice... But the price? One can get an Omtech 100*60 cms(40*24 inches I heard a P2 is like a k40 but nicer, overpriced and with lots of marketing
