Even though I no longer play any version of Rs (ongoing 7th "short break" year from the game), but plan on coming back to Osrs when the Sailing skill launches I like to listen/watch these chunk series from time to time. Your editing and narration experience shows as this was paced far better than probably about 9 out of 10 beginnings of similar progress series I've come across over time so kudos for that! You did get to roll a number of chunks which probably helped, but when you hit a daunting grind I hope you can find the way to split it into entertaining videos and make it your own a lot like Limpwurt does with his series. Regardless I'm looking forward to this and late welcome to Osrs too!

Amazing episode! I'm sure you're well into the grind by now but I'm certain that going for a willow shortbow from easies and using the bronze/iron arrows you can buy from the Catherby archery store is much faster than the black longsword or even a mithril mace from telegrabbing. I guess it depends on the easy loot rng though. Can't wait for the next episode!

Easy clues are a 2.5% chance to be solvable and a 1/128 from men/women though and are 2-4 steps. Farming something like that could take quuuiittteee a while. I have a plan, but thats also taking a while - although episode 2 soon! :D

Really enjoyed the video. The trout might seem useless but you need 10 for death plateau, which is kinda close? Not sure if there is a better way of obtaining them in or near your current chunks. As for the corner content, I asked Limpwurt during a chunk roll stream, and he excludes them (if they have significant parts connected to other chunks, e.g. the desert corner with Morytania), but you're obviously free to do what you prefer :) Keep up the grind and gl with the hellhounds

One idea to think about is for chunks that are split into 2 entrances IE mainland/Entrana and the one you have access to has nothing/nothing new then you could avoid unlocking it until you can reach the interesting side IE have Entrana unlocked (Karamja is fine since you got the dock). I think this was done by a chunkman for the Desert/Morytania border. This will also prevent a mega backlog from building up.

I had never looked at the drop rates for the rare fishing catches and now that I have heard them I know I have gotten ridiculously lucky with that. I started getting annoyed at how many big sharks I was catching because they were filling my inventory

Hey Maikeru, for the probability calculation of getting the black axe. If you roll 3 thrice, it should be 1-(35/36)^3 instead of simply 3/36 for the probability of getting at least one black axe.

@MaikeruRS By rounding you mean you did calculate using the correct way but somehow converted to the 1/12 fraction? Since normally for rounding, one would simply write the decimals e.g. 0.08. For n=3 it may seem the difference is small in value. Yet in terms of derivation probabilistically, there is a huge conceptual difference between n/36 and 1-(35/36)^n . You can verify by seeing their ratios for higher n, and ultimately n/36 would violate the rule of probability. Regardless I enjoy your content a lot, just want to make sure you understand the principle behind and avoid misleading people especially for students watching you. Great content keep it up!

If you click on a task in the chunk map, it gives much more detailed information about the task, including why it thinks you can do all the steps! The cooking requirement comes from it claiming that you can use a "cooking pot" to cook the rabbit, one exists in the candlemakers house. I don't know if it's actually correct that you can use that or not however.

I'm not sure if you found out after recording, so I apologize, but Ignatius Vulcan is in the chunk south of Seer's Village, so the firemaking cape is already backlogged for you. As soon as you roll a chunk with an axe, you'll be on the hook for 99 fletching AND firemaking
