I grew up with the original. It was my first Final Fantasy, and I first tried playing it when I was 5 and 6, though I couldn't wrap my tiny head around the gameplay until I was probably 8 or so (it was my uncle's game at the time.) There's a lot of nostalgia with this game, and it was absolutely a masterpiece back in 1997, but I do think it's important to also acknowledge its flaws. It's not a perfect game, and I think it's important to remember that when going into it, though I'm not saying it's a bad game either. I think at the moment, it's difficult to really 'rank' the remake because it's only one piece of a much bigger experience, but I feel like it's doing such an amazing job at capturing what the PS1 version never could.

@@LunalovaniaGaming I haven’t beat it. I have this issue with completion sometimes. I feel like after I complete a game the magic is over. But eventually I will complete it. I have less than 90% to go. I love it a lot. I love the characters and universe. Battle mechanics are more challenging than final fantasy xv. Took me a while to get comfortable with it but it’s fun. The story is great and I enjoy the interaction between characters. If you haven’t played it but love final fantasy universes and the romance and story I recommend it.

Don Corneo reminds me a lot of Angelo Bronte from Red Dead Redemption 2. Both are mafia crime bosses ruling over Saint Denis and Wall Market, the locals refer to them as The Don and Señor Bronte, both Cloud and Arthur have to rescue Jack and Tifa.
