I hope you know dogras live in j&k and Himachal. Dogras share same culture with himachalis. The term Dogra is thought to derive from Durgara, the name of a kingdom mentioned in an eleventh century copper-plate inscription in Chamba. All the hilly areas of Jammu were ruled by Dogras from centuries before they bought kashmir from britishers. Dogras and himachali languages and surnames are also common. Bhaderwah was part of Himachal at one time and given to Jammu ruler as part of dowry. Yes the people of jammu and himachal used to marry each other because of cultural and ethnic similarities. The inflow of Kashmiris to these regions of Jammu were deliberate. Specially kashmiri muslims started settling in these areas in 1900’s So long story short, dogras everywhere you all see, their culture is similar to himachalis in a lot of ways. Dogri is spoken in Himachal too.

And one more thing Dogri is a pahari language. The areas where Dogri(Pahari)& it's Dialect is speaking are:- Hamirpur, Shimla, Sirmour, Kangra, Chamba,Mandi, some parts of Rohru, Kullu(dialect) Haripur, Nurpur, Pathankot, Rehan etc, And thus folk songs of Jammu & Himachal Includes name of their places Like Kunjua(Traditionally folk song of Both Poonch(Jammu) & Chamba(Himachal) Maaye ni Meriye, in real & old version mention Basohli(Jammu) not Kasoli(himachal) Yes I am a proud kashmiri and my parents are from Anantnag town but I was born and brought up in Jammu (city)

@@MuzamilRashid-vw9np what I would say is that lot of the districts like Reasi Rajouri and Ramban, hindus are more than 50% Reasi 85% Rajouri more than 50% Ramban more than 50% Where as Poonch and Doda has considerable population of hindus and as kashmir has gone into the hands of jamat e islami and with more pro pakistani mentality of the valley, its better these areas remain in Jammu so that it won’t loose its cosmopolitan culture like what kashmir has lost. If religions have prospered thats only in jammu region, even in Jammu city we see all people across different faiths living in harmony. Its best the way it is.
