Busto and Marcelli are pushing Bou harder in recent years than I've seen him pushed in a long time, which is great to see. I'd rather see him retire after being replaced by an even better rider than retiring as world champion and leaving a space at the top.

No one is stopping them from making mistakes. The trial is always interesting, and the presence of Tony only fuels the desire to defeat him.

Tony Bou is just an anomaly. He is beating 20 year olds. Wow.

The really crazy thing is if Bou wasn't there, There's a decent chance Adam Raga would have more world titles than Bou's career total - you have to feel for the guy with the sheer number of times he's come second to Bou, often with a massive gap out to third place too. There's no other sport I can think of that's been dominated so completely and for so long by one person. Bou is the undisputed Mototrials GOAT at this stage. He's won around 75% of the Xtrial rounds he's competed in, which is insane given the level of competition.

@@peglor Agreed. He has dominated. It happens like this in many sports. There is sometimes a different creature altogether. However, the challengers are still champions, as if they are worthy, they are always remembered.
