Playing close to table and smartly positioning the ball to Xu Xin's left made it hard for him to utilise his strong forehand won him the game. Although I'm not sure if it's the camera's angle but I think his body hides his serve sometimes.

Everyone has an opinion as to why this or that caused Xu Xin to lost and Liu Dingshuo to win. My own point of view is, it's one of those days nothing was working out right for Xu Xin, and things were working out perfectly fine for Liu Dingshuo. It's one of those things that happens to the best of us.

Yes, XX's off form, think biorhythm might be the reason. LDS has been brilliant (tore WCQ apart; sharp, clean & brutal). Wish he could repeat it in the final against FZD but Fan completely outplayed him with perfect precision plus lethal speed and spin. FZD, after saving 4 game points to beat ML in group championship, is unbeatable.

Xu Xin was clearly tired in the 7th game at 5/5. LDS got 2 lucky breaks after, breaking Xu Xin's rhythm and zest. But I think Xu Xin's not playing the way he should, for some reason.

I noticed this too. He had very good close to the table attacks I typically see in penhold short pips style attackers, depriving Xu xin of time. Xu xin adjusted to try and increase the mid table rallies in his favour but LDS hung tough.
