I like that this is the full match, without edits. So much more informative than just watching the points with quick edits. This way, we get a real sense of where they take a bit longer to collect their thoughts. It shows us their body language at various stages of the match. And for us beginners or intermediate level players, we can learn some subtle things: like when to get still for receiving, or conversely (I think this is harder to do, and may constitute gamesmanship) how to slightly alter the serve timing.

he's got much better at RPB, but I really hope to see some Ma Lin style TPB lol especially those chop blocks. RPB simply isn't as entertaining to watch (except Wang Hao's). But I guess it'll only get rarer unless ittf decides to bring smaller sized balls back.

@@davidyu1813 When I used to play many years ago we always talked about how well the spin stayed on the ball. Lighter, less robust table tennis balls would lose part of their spin as they traveled from where they were hit to where the opponent made contact.

@@benthekeeshond545 Players who use push block are forced to use it when ball is coming fast and surprises them so snappy short topspin stroke works. XX got better so he was able to spin with backhand which is considered a more advanced shot for penhold player.

No..Ma Lin is 'traditional' penhold-both forehand and backhand are hit from 1 side of raquet, Xiu Xin uses opposite sides for forehand and and backhand (Reverse penhold grip) Robert at 67.

Imagine you try to concentrate, thinking about your next shot, minding your own business. And all of a sudden…it’s ALLLLAAAHHHHUUUUUU AKBARRRR time and some dude is yelling something you’ve never heard before in your life. At least you play in a country full of religious people, where ironically, your own country systematically kill and imprison the same group of people at home. If I’d be a Saudi, having to pay Chinese a bunch of price money, you bet I’d turn up the volume of the speakers to max and let the muezzin know that he should not stop yelling to annoy the heck out of the two. The Chinese guys would never dare to ask the umpire to wait for the singing to end. 😂 On the flight back they go like: „Dude, was he singing for us?“
