Now if he's folding their to just one all in that could be questionable but even then you have to be able to fold your flushes on paired boards some percentage of the time. This was actually an easy fold. Calling there with a flush is equivalent to lighting money on fire. This is a three-bet pot, which clearly means someone could have pocket JJs. Someone raised 3k into two people - that’s quite strong. Followed by a shove into the raiser and a call, this is one of those rare times, maybe one out of 1,000, where someone didn’t have pocket JJs as played. Also, when people put money into a dry side pot, it usually indicates super strength because you’ll always get to see a showdown since someone is already all-in preflop. So, when the first person to put money into the dry side pot calls a shove, it should be the easiest snap fold.

From the perspective of the players holding the flush, the only thing I would have done differently is jam the flop bet. I would have put the flop bettor on a set and was confident he wouldn’t fold it, especially after betting into a dry side pot.

Posted this in another clip of that first hand, but did The Kid really think Xuan was 3 bet shoving with a boat there? Wouldn’t make sense, so that leaves Corvette Mike. I suppose he could have JJ or 33 (or of course 44), never seen him play before. But The Kid didn’t even think about it. Xuan easily could’ve just had an overpair, with the Mike having K10 of spades based on PF action. She raised to $400, Mike called, Kid called, Dinho shoves, Xuan calls. K10 of spades isn’t looking great but you’ve already invested $400 and pot odds wise it’s not a terrible call with only 1 player left to act behind you. Then Mike’s the one who leads out on the flop. That makes sense, because he’s protecting his hand and also wanting to get value. Very easily could one of them have a lone Ace of spades. Then him leading out on the turn still makes sense if he has K10 of spades. Xuan 3 bet shoving also makes sense if she has an overpair because she’s afraid of another spade hitting the river. And if she had a boat why would she shove and scare everyone away, especially when it’s likely someone is waiting for another spade? And of course Mike at this point can’t fold (if he has K10 of spades). And the reason you “MAY” be able to rule out him having a boat is because he led the turn. Obviously all of this is super easy to see and say in hindsight and while not in the hand. And I don’t even necessarily hate the fold. I hate the snap fold. Based on everything that happened, neither one has to have a full house at all. Sorry for being one of those “YT comment poker pros”, but man I’ve played and watched A LOT of Poker and that snap fold is definitely up there as one of the worst I’ve seen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@dannyMCDelight Like I said, I don’t necessarily mind the fold, like, it wasn’t a good fold at all but the bigger issue I have is that he snap folded with not even thinking about it. That’s what I personally think was what was really “bad”. That said, there was no “river call to go”. Him calling on the turn would’ve been him closing the action because Xuan and Mike were all in.

Xuan shove on the turn doesnt look that strong - why would she shove JJ 33 or 44 which just folds out hands with the dry ace of spades (and potentially other hands) which she can get value from on the river if she had a house. This is espcially true given the SPR is very low going to the river. So looks like a hand that wants protection (as it was). Mike's call on the turn is very strong and should be at least a flush. Given the action pre, and that you have two large spades (so are blocking some flushes), there is good chance this is a boat. However getting 3.5 to 1 you only need 22% equity so you have to call given both players can have lower flushes (or an over pair). But given all players have 33 44 and JJ in range it isnt as crazy a fold as some people think.

Yes that logic makes sense if it was heads up. When you're talking three people ahead of you are now all in you def should never be calling 100% of the time their. So even if you call 80% of the time you're still folding one out of every five times in that situation. So a fold their is so acceptable. And necessary to be a profita le player. You can't always be a calling station when you've got THREE ALL INS BEFORE YOUR ACTUON ON A PAIRED BOARD.
