I always find Xuefei's play of her own cultural music fascinating The first I heard was Xuefei playing The Butterfly Lovers then works by Stephen Goss very beautiful pieces which were composed in that way. Very lovely concert 👍

Definitely a challenging concert to listen to, starting like that with a very contemporary piece of music, but her musicianship is truly incredible: In the end she brought great beauty to it all! Sure on my shortlist of guitarists, who I would love to see live! Recuerdos de la Alhambra were in fact written by Fransisco Tarrega. I have only heard one better version of that piece though, and that was by incredible Kyuhee Park. Please, Siccas Guitars, bring her in for a concert too, I beg you! By the way, Xufei Yang do have a website in her own name with quite an schedule published for concerts the next half year ahead, if anyone should have got taste for this. I have; I already do consider to schedule my vacation this summer after one of two guitar festival in Europe, where she will perform!

Well, I think, that Xufei Yang and many other artists has just disproven your claim. On top, considering China is a multicultural nation, which is leading in technology, it is an incredible old fashion statement. It would be like people here in the western world defending a standpoint claiming, that music of JS Bach only could be performed on the original instruments, harpsichord, violin, pipe organ and clavichord and that everything else would be untrue to the roots and sounds strange. Well, virtually none know his music performed on any of those instruments today, maybe except church goers like me (pipe organ) and a few violin entusiasts!

第一段听着太难受，不伦不类，不是音乐的优美，而是一种煎熬。后面还能接受，总之听起来和通常的中国民乐格格不入，我不懂音乐，但喜欢音乐，也喜欢中国传统民乐。古典吉他演奏中国民乐一定是可以的，这样的尝试也是可以的，我不喜欢不代表别人也不喜欢，艺术从来没有标准。但这我觉得不能称之为古典音乐，或者古典吉他音乐了。

Just goes to show the classical guitar said all it had to say decades ago. So after some bland tinkering with harmonics and meanderings sul ponti...or not....Ooh, we then finish on some super bland pseudo flamenco strumming followed by...is it an actual encore?...the cliche of all cliches! But she did used to look good in photos when she was younger.
