I bought MG Hector Shine CVT Variant completed two services in CIty Mileage 9 and in highway 12 interms of space & comfort amazing nothing beats MG hector Engine performance is good you don't feel any lag just few secs initial lag you will notice that is ok I did test drive creta , seltos, taigun, slavia , virtus but when I sit in MG hector I got feeling of I am sitting in two segment above compared to creta , seltos, taigun, slavia

Owned the first gen MG hector driving it for almost 5 years.Its been a mixed review.The usp of the car which was its big screen that tbh is the only negative ,android auto looks ugly though it has map my India which is ok ok.Other than that the car is very reliable has never let me down the suspension is great and its a passenger car because it not the most fun to drive car in the segment.The interiors have kept its shine no problem with engines breaks what so ever .

No NCAP ratings, and only 1.5 litre engine for petrol - IMO MG stands nowhere when it comes to a direct car-to-car comparison with XUV 700. I am comparing models of both the companies priced at ₹24 lakhs (on-road). MG has 140 BHP whereas XUV 700 has a whopping 197 BHP, not to mention the safety standards of 5 star ratings of NCAP. MG has done a phenomenal job when it comes to its EV but lacks very far behind in petrol and diesel cars. However, the only issue you’ll face with XUV700 is Mahindra’s poor after sale service. Once the car goes for a repair, it’ll come back only after 2 weeks. Most of the time you’ll end up involving senior most people in the department to get the job done because people down the line are not capable and lack even basic executional skills. But in MG, the after sales service is TOP CLASS.

Hector Petrol can’t even come close to XUV Petrol AT. Even in terms of looks and build quality XUV is ahead. Hector is only ahead in terms of features. I am proud owner of XUV top end Petrol AT.
