150 is not affordable enough. That is why I use KZ ZSN Pro in-ear monitors.

I’ve been using the Westone Audio AM Pro 30 (sort of open back). They route a little ambient audio in. I was using the BASN Metalin. Those sounded great honestly, 4 drivers, but the cable is terrible and cuts out constantly after a couple of years of use. The isolation actually made me feel more disconnected from everything going on, people responding, etc. I decided to give the Westones a try, holy smokes they sound like I’m just in the room. I’d recommend them for vocalist or guitar. I don’t think there would be enough sub bass for a bass player. They’d likely be fine for drums.

Hey quick question how do you think these compare to the shure 215’s, I’m a bass player for a mega CHURCH here out in Las Vegas, it’s a big production, the in ears I have are starting to fail, distorting a lot lately, I don’t really wanna spend the money on customs, do you think these are better than the shure 215s when it comes to low end, in my ears, I usually have the kick and the snare the loudest, do you think they will handle that well plus my bass? Or is there something newer and better you would recommend?

Kz is old news now as so many competitors in the chifi market are smashing it out the park. I got myself a pair letshouer s12's for drumming. Its a planar iem and you amazing seperation of instruments.

are s12 ok when gigging? ive seen posts that they pop out the ear after a few minutes. :) im torn between s12 and t9

@neoaspelet1004 if you start to sweat it can be an issue using silicone tips. If you use the foam tips its much better , they havent slipped out on me yet.

Okay so I have a question, I play drums for kid's church and our piano player sometimes will speed up and slow down then blame me. I feel like if I keep the same tempo even when they speed up and slow down they will blame me either way. so what do I do?

Have a conversation with the pianist and the lead singer about what's happening. Rehearsal will help with getting the time right. During the service, have eye contact with the pianist so you can communicate the right tempo. Use the high hat and bass drum to guide everyone on the timing of songs. If you have the equipment. A loop/track will help as well.

I don’t see it has hating! I’ve had 2 pair of KZs I think around the $50 price range, and haven’t had super good luck yet. Mixing a live service/concert they tend to distort for me and lose some clarity. Could just be my experience though!

Have to kindly disagree with you. The KZ line have terrible balance and they're clunky and obscenely large. Also no ties or latch for the excess cable and I've had little luck either the cables that come with them... At least as a drummer, the KZ just don't do it for me personally.
