Using the old-school Technic 1/2 bushings with the teeth. Nice! I miss those 90s-era Technic details. I mean, I have hundreds of them in my collection, just that LEGO stopped production long ago on all those toothed LEGO connectors of the era that were so great for making rigid structures at specific angles.

Maybe if you got your buddy to print two more of those beams you could redo the front end and run them through under the seat. It would give you a bit more rigidity. more points to pin together either way I’m jealous. Your giant LEGO videos are the best

Looks great Matt! My electric kart had a no load speed of 32 mph, but never went above 21. But it was only one motor and a steel chassis. I also have the tractor diff, which added 4 or 5 lbs to the rear axle.

@@MattDenton that and the motor/ESC aren't great. It is the 1800W combo from Amazon with 32A ESC. Thinking about getting the 3000W ebike one from eBay. The chassis can definitely do higher speeds. Can also do differential braking with disc brakes on either side of the diff and two levers

great video! probably somebody else already suggest, but you might try to attach the main beam on a 4 pin size in stead of 2, with a setup of PIN-empty-black axle-PIN. in this way the beam will greatly increase as you reduce the flex momentum in the center.

Hi Matt, I love your Videos! That's really engineering. Regarding the two motors ... I would go for a central differential. Just that the power is centrally provided. You can achieve that with your axle like it is. Take a look at 1:12 or 1:10 RC PanCars. And you can try to use both motors (or three?) with that drive then ;) Or you could add a G-Sensor and add some code to let them speed separately. Could be also a nice option ;) Keep on going! I really enjoy that. Hope your next Project is a collaboration with Ivan as I also love to see his channel ;)

Id run that old 6x1 print parallel on the inside of that new piece for some more strength. Also one 6x2 print behind the seat, instead of the multiple pieces capping the aft frame work. Awesome work though, thanks for sharing.

If you're worried about the loss in speed, why don't you print bigger tyres? Also it would give you a bit more of an air gap at the base due to the added flex in the middle.

The small band saw is a very ok (1980s/90s) black and decker bench to saw. Very useful size with a deep throat (waits for smutty response)... I picked mine up seconds hand for £10, I think you can still find them, you can still buy blades for them.. the Asics are my running shoes 😁

Have you tried making bigger wheels and rubber tires? I don't know if that makes a difference but Lego actually made tires made of real rubber so contraptions have more torque. I think it'll help immensely.
