not really considering spotify removed all his music and this ep can only be found here on youtube :P
@titussorensen114810 жыл бұрын
icydragon308 Spotify isn't a reliable scale for measurement when it comes to musical magnitude, because they're just a business that offers a music service for profit. If it isn't profitable for them, they probably won't have anything to do with it regardless of the artist. His self titled full album on here has almost 7 million views and About You already has 16 million, so I'd say that's pretty big. There are all kinds of factors that could explain why he's not on Spotify. Maybe he doesn't want to be, maybe they don't want him, maybe it's legal stuff with the label. Maybe it's money, maybe it's principle. Maybe it's none of that, but whatever the case, one music service not carrying him says very little about how popular he is realistically speaking. Besides, big is a relative term, and would you really want someone this good getting huge just so that the talentless artists in pop culture could remix his songs into some POS party songs? I mean sure, pop party music would improve, but would it really be worth it in the end?

I know there are some people that do make music or at least know how it's made commenting, and you're perfectly entitled to your opinion just like anyone else. I actually value your opinions a lot more than those of others, critical or not because you can at least appreciate the process. I would like to say that those of you who comment so critically, that don't make music and don't know how to crack me up, and I appreciate it very much. Are you guys really supposed to be taken seriously when you talk about music being good or not based simply on you liking the way it sounds? I mean I understand that's a large portion of any musician's allure, but that's like someone talking about cars expecting to be taken seriously when they only know which ones they like look of, while knowing nothing about how it performs, how it was made, the mileage it gets, or the engine inside it. You're talking aesthetics about sound while you know nothing about quality or how it's attained, and I thank you for making me feel great due to not being able to hold back laughter when I read your stuff. I just wanted to put that out there, because I know I can't be the only person that's thought about that.

+Michael Smith I've always called it "experimental" because it doesn't really fit into one genre.
@Kochkunst9998 жыл бұрын
I'd call it lo fi, because it uses the sounds of low production quality as a part of the music. (Don't misunderstand me. It's great production quality. He just makes it sound like noisy). "The Train to Nowhere" by Wolkenscheidt is just like that.
