You have come a long way! Your coworker and his family helped you change your life. An eye-opening awareness of your ways. You've finally grown up and changed your life for the better.

Personality disorders are very real and detrimental to one's daily functioning just like in this story. Glad you were able to build insight and accept critical feedback from trusted people. Insight is the key to changing your own maladaptive behaviors. A lot of people hit rock bottom and get oust from their own family for being this way. It's not their fault. It's just how their brain was wired in the first place.

It's not your parents who didn't love you. It's called tough love. Sometimes, it's necessary to let your children grow. I spoiled my two children, but not to the point that they did not appreciate everything they had. They have to earn it. They have chores, they have to keep good grades. They're rewarded wit $50 for every A and $20 for B...they have scheduled that they have to maintain daily. Monday-Friday.... M-F wake up, make bed, pick up clothes, and put them away. Clean-up after themselves. School. After school they have school activities. When they get home, it's homework, study, and do their chores. Afterward, they can have time to hang out and play with their friends. I'm an OCD person, so I like my house clean and orderly with everything in its rightful places. Everyone is expected to clean up after themselves. Since I cooked they clean up afterwards. Friends are only allowed over on weekends (Friday/ Saturday) they can sleep in on weekends. However they must've homework done before they can go hangout with their friends. If they need money they have to earn it. By doing their chores, and keeping good grades. Allowances are based on their weekly chores just like a job. They both shared a bathroom, so they each are responsible to take turn cleaning up everyday. They're to maintain its cleanliness since it's also the guest bathroom. If their chores are not done they do not get pay for it. My son is responsible for general up keep. Yard, trash, vacuum living room, hallways and entry way, every other day bathroom. My daughter dishes, kitchen, wipe down stove, counters, dining room, everyone does their own laundry but since I have a habit of shrinking clothes and I cannot iron for shit lol...my daughter does our laundry and my son hates it so he pays her $20 a week to do his laundry too...they alternate their chores. Child should be taught at a young age and discipline as they grow. Teach them good and right from wrong. Doesn't mean yelling, cussing or belittling them when they do something wrong. Doesn't mean you verbally or physically abuse them. Doesn't mean you love them less or play favoritism either. Always becareful of what you said to them especially out of anger. If they do not understand take the time to explain it to them. You're never too busy with your life that you can not take or make time for your children. Before you know it it's gonna be too late and you cannot get it back.

What!? I'm confused. She met her future husband at 12:12 but, married someone else at the end or was it the same guy that set her straight? 🧐😳
