10/12...Want to add a few more points: 13. In hills, always keep distance from the vehicle in front when stalled in bumper-to- bumper traffic on a steep slope. Many a times, the vehicle in front doesn't pick up without dragging his vehicle a few inches backwards. 14. Don't overtake on curves. 15. In hills, park your vehicle as much away from the side of the road as possible and check for the possibility of any landslide or stones shooting from above. If the area is newly excavated, stay away from that zone and park elsewhere, especially during monsoon season.

The irony is - first time i drove my vehicle, in reverse 1) take it out of the apartment, 2) sweet shop parking reverse 3) temple parking for pooja (when i retrospect, i recall spending more time taking reverse, to be careful, than i spent driving forward... hahahaha!) As outlined by the gentleman... 12 Aspect to focus for a Great Driver: (there is a long way for me to go) Are you a sensible driver? Do you treat your car well? Do you understand other drivers? Are you a patient driver? Do you drive fast but not rashly and be safe? Do you follow all the traffic rules? Do you become an obstacle for other drivers? Are you having amazing parking skills? Are you having amazin reversing skills? Can you read the mindset of other drivers? Do you "Respect" other vehicles and drivers? Do you make way for other vehicles?

These twelve points are more of behavioural points of view from a driver’s perspective. Which is good. I was thinking you will talk about drivings skill points like below 1. Moving vehicle up on a ramp without handbrake or hill assist. Only on clutch 2. To know the perimeter of a car and exactly what min space required to clean pass. 3. Hill driving both ramp up and ramp down and blind turns. 4. Sense of relative velocity on a high way with a single flank. Anyways nice to see your video. BTW my score(as per your video) is 12. My driving experience is close to 15 yrs.

Hi you are fantastic. I have to practice on reversing and parking most important drive more on single road this will help in left side judgement. One important point is to make use of all mirrors. The missing points are as follows: No. 13: changing gears at proper RPM/SPEED. Many drivers keep driving in low gears and upshifting very late spinning the engine at high rpm unnecessarily. 14: effortlessly using the steering with full turns with less efforts. Confident drivers steer the car with less frequently rotations but those who are not confident steer in small increments repeatedly till they fully turn the car. This takes more effort than required. 15: Avoid looking at the bonnet to judge distance especially when parking behind any other car or bike. A good driver has sufficient idea how far his bonnet extends. So avoid seeing the bonnet. 16: Good drivers sit comfortably with recline. Nurvous or bad drivers pull the seat forward and stay very close to the steering looking out through the windshield which is a sign of nervousness and lack of confidence. 17: Good drivers turn off all electricals before turning the engine off. First turn off your AC, Music system, lights etc and only after that turn off the engine. This is the reason why in some cars light bulbs go off very frequently. The sign of a good driver is that their light bulbs will last very long before a fuse occurs. This is because every time your start the engine the electrical gadgets will automatically turn on if you had forgotten to turn off last time putting a load on the battry and the bulbs before the circuitry of the car has an opportunity to stabilise. Hope you understand. 18: Use your clutch for a very brief moment when you actually changing a gear and release once the vehicle is on the move. So are you a good driver?? Do your clutch needs to be changed more frequently than other drivers even if they drive the same car??? If yes, you need to improve your driving habits. Want to add one more, at the time of taking any sort of action, like changing lane, moving ahead from parked location, overtaking, etc, we should make a habit of looking a all 4 directions even if we know it already. We can be saved from others mistakes. We should not think that other driver is totally perfect and should each time expect mistakes from other driver, accordingly we should be alert. Lastly, road is a mysterious place where unexpected things happen, so regardless of whatever experience i have, even today i consider myself to be a learner, hence watching this video😄. And infact there is no level of perfectness. There would be only a few lucky drivers who can say that i had’nt met with any scratch/dent/accident in worst case in whole of my lifetime.
