I am 52 and was raised in the south as a Democrat and as I got older I felt like I identified more as a Republican, and now I can't claim to be a member of either party but I can claim to be an American who wants the best for all in this great country of ours. I can see good points and bad points in both parties, but one thing Tom said in this song hit the nail on the head about how I feel these days, "It don’t matter who’s the winner ‘cause the people always lose". Me vs. You is the first time I have listened to Tom (6/21.2024) and this video made me an instant fan.

Victoria, I'm glad you tossed some flowers to Nova. Her videography is phenomenal, especially her use of symbolism. She's very adept at using simple concepts and simple settings to give impactful visual-life to Tom's lyrical messages. I loved that she used a warehouse setting to symbolize the working-class of the people who are being pitted against each other by the elites who run the system. Then there are artists like Samson who can't reach over 200k subscribers and he only has 2 tracks that have gotten over 1 million views. It just doesn't make sense. Then there's Ryan Upchurch who has a subscriber count that has been sitting at just over 3 million for over 4 years. How is that even possible? Not just artists. Conservative commentators have a hard time gaining numbers too. Mark Dice for one. You have to type the video title into the search bar to get to most of his videos. Very few videos are ever recommended. That's why they don't see growth on their channels. They aren't being recommended to new eyeballs. I'm not subscribed to Tom, but I am always having his videos recommended to me whenever he releases a new one. Even his older videos pop up in my feed. He's definitely not being shadowbanned.

KZbin have a love hate relationship with Tom, his videos bring in the numbers but a few of them are considered controversial, to mitigate this Tom self censors all his cuss words, so as to take one reason for shadow banning him away. I like Samson but in Cesspool he admits he doesn't push his music, he shouldn't criticise those that do, Upchurch was brilliant a few years ago, but his subscribers are dropping, more rants than music, Tom and Nova have the underdog back story and people like that.

The reality is this- all you have to do is study history to see the repeating pattern: *Eventually one side has to win.* Eras of heightened political strife and civilizational infighting are never resolved by the uninvolved saving the day with the magical third choice to just tune everything out and pretend none of it matters. Great reaction. As a veteran of Gulf War, it breaks my heart to see people reach for hatred so quick. I will say neither party really cares about us veterans..we are just scapegoats for agendas. I have received more support and caring from regular people on all sides. George Washington was right about political parties and was our ONLY independent president. We didn't talk for like a decade cause of all these hot topics and things they like pushing in our face with the knowing that it's going to divide and make us argue/hate each other. I saw another reactor succinctly observe that each side will likely agree with THEIR Tom in this video. Everyone wil likely disagree on some of our political positions, and I'm not fence riding either with the "why can't we all just get along" mantra, but EQ and cognitive self-awareness require each of us, on all sides, to recognize our own biases and the emotional investments that we bring with those biases, resulting in the emotional shutdown of any intelligent discussions by both sides. I have long said that I'm willing to have an intelligent, non-emotional conversation with anyone. But once the screaming starts, reason exits. By listening, I'll probably still disagree with some folks, but we'll each better understand why the other feels the way they do, and we will have a mutual respect for the leaving of emotions outside. Oh, and "listening" also means not thinking of the next point or argument we want to make while they are stating theirs. We should be relying on common sense and not trying to play sides. People with common senses could see from the jump that you were not exuding full blown liberal vibes, green hair or not (I mean, green hair at the range shooting her KSG....?). I can rock with a classical liberal who actually listens and can't rock with people that dismiss or denigrate others with no basis. Im Mexican and my husband is white. All of his family members are republicans and he's Democrat. Definitely not looking forward to the holidays. We have kids btw ages 16 months and 4 months

The only thing that people should be picking... is POLICY. We need to abolish political parties, our system does not require it. Everybody should be running as an American, and on their experience, merit, and policy proposals. This would also stop people from voting blue no matter who or red regardless because they would HAVE to pay attention and research candidates to figure out what they're about. But anyways, don't pick a party candidate due to bias or assumption, or their personality, or because of mainstream news rhetoric... Pick your candidate due to the POLICIES that you think will be more beneficial to your bank account, children 's future, safety, health and well-being... Don't be "right or left", be a common sense American and an empathetic human being to your fellow countrymen, and also your global family (BUT COUNTRY FIRST🇺🇲). LOVE YOUR REACTIONS 🤘🏻💛 Thank you 😊
