Breged n'hamedu spears to be a genuine Etitrean movement. It has been welcome in Ethiopia by non other than Abiy in retaliation of Afwerki's support of fano. It is very possible Abiy may use them as a negotiation or blackmail chip. As for the lively hood of the Bregad it's a youth movment who are fed up with military servitude. Your concern on trusting Abiy is legitimate.

Problem is both Eritrean and Ethiopian leaders claim to be independent and self governed but the truth is the former is under MBS and the later is under Shiek Bin Zayid they can not stand on their own that is the secret of all this twists and turns on both sides. Both Abiy and Isayas are not who they claim or preach they are.
