第九屆亞洲冬季運動會（亞冬運）在哈爾濱舉行，周日（9日）在男子冰球小組賽C組賽事中，港隊５：１贏土庫曼。新華社報道，兩隊在比賽結束後爆發激烈衝突，土庫曼隊3名球員因打架被處罰。港協暨奧委會隨後發聲明稱，對港隊運動員在比賽場地被土庫曼運動員蓄意襲擊受傷，表示強烈譴責。

As a Japanese person I've met a lot of Turkmen people and I've never recieved poor treatment from them!!!!! In general Turkmen people are very friendly!!!!! It's just a small minority of people who did that!!!!!

@alexchan2202 Met them in Hong Kong during the 2026 football World Cup qualifier match against Turkmenistan and in Hong Kong Disneyland. Also my trip during Paris during the Olympics where Turkmen fans watch the judo competition
