Some simple calculations after watching the video. According to Newton's 2nd motion law, F=ma, in order to generate a big enough push force with a tiny mass of Krypton ion, the Thruster must eject the ion out at an extremely high velocity. Even so, the force is around a few hundred millinewtons, which can accelerate a Starlink satellite (260Kg) by 1mm/s^2.
@hui Wang 按理来说是这样的,但是我当时想的是:物体到了接近光速的时候再施力会发生什么? 刚才查了一下,狭义相对论说物体质量(这个质量应该和日常生活中的质量有些区别,但和动量定理的那个是一致的)会随着速度改变。所以越接近光速物体质量就越接近无限,也就需要无限的能量来加速了,我之前想的那个2kg和1kg的例子也就不成立了
