香港有如彈丸之地，卻埋藏著很多位「世一」。香港口琴手莊庭皓（Ivan）就是2009年世界口琴節二重奏冠軍得主。他以「Connecting the dots」為比喻，想說明這部袖珍樂器為他帶來不一樣的人生。 一眾本地口琴手希望透過舉辦最高規格的「第一屆香港國際半音階口琴大賽」，讓更多港人認識這部半音階口琴獨有魅力，從琴孔之間窺探每位來自世界各地的好手成就夢想的故事。 「第一屆香港國際半音階口琴大賽」更有一連串精彩活動，例如大師班、工作坊、研討會、展覧及公開舞台讓大家參與，共同見證口琴界明日之星的誕生！

[Chromatic Harmonica: Symbolic representation of our metropolitan city] Hong Kong is a small space but full of hidden dragons. Local chromatic harmonica player Ivan Chong, Champion in Duo at the World Harmonica Festival 2009, once used "connecting the dots" as a metaphor to how the pocket instrument made a difference in his life. The Hong Kong Harmonica Association hopes to share the unique charm of the chromatic harmonica through “The 1st Hong Kong International Chromatic Harmonica Competition”, in which the public will also witness the contestants' dreams come true. “The 1st Hong Kong International Chromatic Harmonica Competition" comes with a bunch of exciting activities, from masterclasses, workshops, discussion forums and exhibitions to open stages for public participation.
