The last time South Korea conducted a public execution was back in 1951, not 1990's as you claim. SK in 80s and early 90s was a dictatorship, yes, but you totally fabricated the part about public execution in South Korea. Also, the use of public execution does not always coincide with political systems. In fact, the last public execution in the United States was in 1936, a federal democratic republic.

@@OYT0724 He's probably referring to the Gwangju Uprising which took place in 1980 and resulted in 100 or so deaths of civilians by the South Korean government, while the song itself is about South Korea under dictatorship
