My theory: She falls in love with a boy, but becomes depressed because the love isn’t passionate or fun, and the boy is boring and unaffectionate. She bothers him often because she begins to like being hurt by his coldness. At some point, she discovers a book called Girl Dissection (note: there is a story by Junji Ito by the same/similar name, but otherwise this doesn’t seem to have any connection, unless you speculate she had read the story and got the idea to be dissected from there). By using the numbers at the crime scenes, we can see this is the first in the series of events that follow. She walks to the bookcase, sees the book, and figuratively dies (the chalk outline of her body). Reading the book seems to give her the idea to get attention from her boyfriend by attempting suicide. She first flirts with the idea by filling a bathtub with water and looking at her wrist, as if she’s going to slit it (with the razor blade seen in a different scene). Later, she’s seen here again, but with the skeleton behind her, as if the idea of being dissected (killing herself) is bearing down on her, but not tempting her - she hasn’t become obsessed with the idea yet. I don’t think she actually attempts suicide here, but it was the fact that she prepared for it that “killed” her this time (number 3). Next we see her body in the crosswalk, 4 and 5, implying she attempts to or thinks about killing herself by walking into oncoming traffic (when she’s shown waiting at the crosswalk earlier but doesn’t wait for the light to turn green, and later she’s seen walking in front of traffic to get to the skeleton on the other side of the road). Next, 6 and 7, her body at the train station after walking off the platform (also shown in the video) with the skeleton on the other side of the track. Finally, 8 and 9, with her body at the river, as though she drowned. When she sees her reflection as a skeleton in the water, she is thrown backwards violently, and explodes into bones, implying this is where she finally killed herself, successfully reaching her dissected state. Basically, her playing Girl Dissection was her flirting with death. In the end, she seems to drown herself in the river, at which point she is placed in a body bag, which her ghost is seen near in the beginning of the video. I think her ghost was wandering, trying to figure out where she killed herself, since she knew she had thought about it multiple times. The only semi-loose ends are her talking about her masochism (she feels good when it hurts “ever since that night”) and her mentioning how she might be at peace if she just said she wanted to die. I think this maybe implies that rather than actually dying, what she wanted was the pain and danger of attempting to kill herself. She wanted to attempt suicide, then feel her boyfriend's coldness as he still didn't care about her, possibly because the first night ("that night") she was thinking about it (the bathtub) she ended up telling him and wasn't comforted by him at all. She was so fixated on the pain as opposed to the boring state of her love life that she ended up actually killing herself despite not really wanting to die, leaving her spirit unable to move on.

@@aether7772 The flowers are from lantern plants, actually. They have a strong connotation with death. When the outer pod decays, it leaves a bone-like structure around the fruit. I haven't seen Coco but since this is an Asian plant (and also not petals but an entire fruit pod) I doubt they are the same thing. Still, the connotation with death is there.

It's not really about being masochistic. People who are depressed often self harm and it "feels good". When I used to self harm, it made me happy and satisfied to see and feel the pain and blood. It was a cry out for help, but also a coping mechanisms to deal with the pain I was feeling inside. I think that's what she means
