Why Why Love is one of my most FAVORITE Asian dramas evar!♥ It took me a long time to actually finish it only because I kept falling out of the “drama-watching mood” after the first episode. When I finally really watched it, I was hooked and I have to say, it had one of the most satisfying endings to a drama that I’ve ever seen. A bittersweet love story; one that I absolutely love it. It is one of my go-to dramas when I’m bored :)

​@wh3420 you must be an American. Chinese is an ethnicity and Taiwanese, Hong Kong are all of Chinese ethnicity. In malaysia, Indonesia or Singapore there's also Chinese, it doesn't mean anything about China, it just means Chinese ethnicity. Not wrong to say it is a Chinese drama. If you want to call it a Taiwan drama, that's fine too.

Here in America the identity of being Chinese automatically defaults to the Han people, just as when someone who speaks Chinese, will be assumed that they are referring to Mandarin(Putonghua/Guoyu). This is why people who are either from or descendants of those who migrated from either Taiwan or Hong Kong identify as such, instead of just saying they are Chinese, so they don't get mixed up with Mainlanders. Earlier generations all just say "Chinese" is because it was easier. Here in the Midwest where I am from, the term "Chinese" is too broad, due to sub-groups of Han's such as Hoklo and Hakka, so they usually will but their ethic label in front of "Chinese" to distinguish themselves from other Chinese people.

@johnnythao Yes all are Chinese but Taiwanese ain't Hong-Kongers and Singaporeans ain't Malaysians. The drama can be said to be Taiwanese but before that, it is Chinese. By default we call it tw drama, when we say Chinese drama it means the ones made in China. However strictly speaking, they are all Chinese drama meaning the language spoken is Chinese.
