Actually the argue is not about free speech or filming in public. I reckon There is a misunderstanding. The Chinese people just realize that there is a camera filming them by accident but they don’t want their face shown online. So they actually mean can you edit or blur those clips with their faces. Instead of saying u can’t film here then gone all those troubles 😢
They are at the location to prefilm a live show. They are filming for the China government for the program they planned to say they are live in London for the China new year. This is why the China government did not want their image disclosured. Maybe the China government should have live tv filmed live. But that is not possible as the China government has a long list of things that can’t go on tv.. the number 8964, blank paper (Covid), poo bear, upside down finger (topple the CCP)… imagine if it was live and someone in the back walks by with something like the listed items. The show last year had over 1.2 billion viewers.

You are so right ,Long live Taiwan the True Capital of China
I stand with Brendan Kavanaugh. We believe in Freedom, Liberty and the Right to Free Speech. If you don't want to be videotaped, don't go into the public. People from countries run by dictators just don't get it. Don't tell freedom loving people what to do or say!

If I take your photo in a public place and upload it to KZbin to earn advertising revenue, am I violating your right to choose not to have your portrait published?

It was obviously the Englishman who first approached them. Seeing these people holding the Chinese flags and calling them Japanese was an insult in itself. Laterly, when he negotiating with the police, he kept emphasizing communism instead of calling them Chinese, which was obviously also a form of discrimination. It cannot be denied that Dr K himself was also very rude. If someone doesn't like you taking pictures/videos of them, why do you have to do it? And he also wants to stir up trouble here... In any case, these Chinese people did appear overly excited and sensitive, and further conflict could have been avoided by simply walking away...

瘋吼男應該要說:don’t touch the flag 吧!因為人家是碰旗子沒碰人啊!在那邊亂栽贓模糊焦點鬼打牆,惡意營造抹黑~真噁心!
Objectively speaking, what I see is a group of Chinese people filming a program, and they don't want their portraits uploaded by this musician. However, this musician has always emphasized that this group of Chinese people is the Communist Party, and they only hold the Chinese flag 🇨🇳 And not the flag of the Communist Party, so only Chinese people would feel that this musician is discriminating against them, and the fact is that this musician has repeatedly used words such as "Communist Party" and "free country" to satirize this group of Chinese people
Someone once offered me a compensation of 5000 euros to film a "news" about the Chinese police suppressing Tibetans. The film and television company said it had nothing to do with them, and it was a legislator who invested in their request to film it.
One thing I don't understand about Chinese people is that they love their country so much. So much that they will do anything to live in another country. Make it make sense please!
