20萬個間底買，17萬個間就合適兩夫妻小家庭往，價錢算ok啦......有時間多啲講吓啲大约17萬至25萬左右啲屋，香港人會鍾意多啲，起碼價錢上，大部分香港家庭都可以買到！！同好合理價位，可買到同可實現目標，大家至有心睇妳條片（包廣告），不過問心，今次條片真係拍得幾好，是太大雨拍唔到個外圍同花園！！！但也拍得好好，加油....依家科技先進咗，連移民，移居都有先行者教路，真是好！！回想自已細過十二三歲去澳洲！！1991年個時，那時沒有那麼多知信！！！真係吓吓食自己！！真係要每日打起十二分腦力同精神！！！行條路出嚟！！所以妳們一家努力加油吧，多謝妳們給香港人的知信，加油

We had once picked Newcastle and Manchester many years ago but finally settled in the very south close to Brighton. It is relatively colder in the north of England, flooding in the areas is also not uncommonly seen. I would prefer more sunny counties such as Kent and East Sussex. No hurries for buying properties in the UK, there are plenty of choices, we travelled often over the years from the Scotland highland toward all the way south and noticed that we, HongKongers, prefer more sunny days and less humid areas to live in.

I did not spend my last summer in the UK, I have still remembered that the 2 summers before the last one were hot enough in the south and making me consider for installing aircon. Picking the very south is also beneficial from the beautiful coastline and Dover if you like travelling outside the UK for a good rest. Properties here are indeed relatively more expensive, people are more civilised overall, some counties nearby such as Hove and Eastborune should be shortlisted, it may not necessarily be always picking the center of metropolitan city to live in, not recommended though.

Can check the Index of Multiple Deprivation for small areas within the neighbourhood, as they vary even from one end of the street to the other. Need to check at day time and night time and see whether you feel safe walking around.

買樓室內係點都重要但其實喺曼城買就唔係最重要， 室內只要有錢裝修同有時間就唔係問題， 最最最大問題應該係周邊環境， 睇過好靚既屋但周邊有較多黑人或政府資助既人住， 咁多窮人或者印巴包圍你，佢哋無野做就喺你門外徘徊， 俾你都唔敢住尤其係你屋企有女人。 仲有啲近河既， 有機會水浸， 呢啲先係大問題。 講裝修間間都可以大同小異。

新屋是交吉屋給你，所以我一般不看裝修，基本上需要知道如何安排家居便可以。但外面環境重要，因為自己不能改變。其實英國的建築商都是標準設計幾種屋，然後在不同區按人口分佈和結構放在不同區內，因為標準設計可以將所有建築材料標準化，數量大可以低成本。因為 Council House 的安排，不能排除低收入人士，所以新屋一定要看整個發展分佈，自己的屋在哪裡，發展商都將 Council House 放在最不好的位置，自己的屋如果可以，遠離一點。

You are very right...... the higher the ceiling, the more heat is required to keep the house warm. Although it looks nicer, it is not cost efficient in terms of winter energy saving.

The reason why English people prefer very old house is because of the high ceiling. Higher ceiling = more space = more comfortable. Energy more efficient with lower ceiling??? Really??? Not sure where the idea comes from. Just an advice to everybody, never buy the house built in 70's as it was the worry period in UK. They are all crap!

Buying properties in UK, Canada, USA and Australia should always keep in mind the most important thing is Location, location and location. You can change the partitions, layouts and interior anytime when you have money. You can never change your location. It is forever. Also, you don't want to worry when a family member has to come back at night, a surprise that your home has been robbed and trashed when you are on holiday, jump out of bed at night when you hear a window breaking sound - Someone is coming in.......... Think over it carefully. One mistake could be forever. No chance to redo.

In my opinion this is not a good recommendation. Location wise Openshaw is not that close to city centre so if you plan to drive anyway, then there are other better choices surrounding Manchester at similar prices. For ppl who aren't local and not aware, new home build prices have been inflated in recent years and the quality of new build has been questionable. I suggest people research properly before investing. I have a few HK friends who recently made property investment through recommendations and have regretted. I personally wouldn't recommend Openshaw, in my view not nice area.
