Exactly the reason why they can't provide tax advice. Lots of people have specific tax questions and it is better to consult professional and not them. There's one hour free consultation and I doubt there is obligation to hire this tax accountant after that. Hope other people learn to show more appreciation just like you.

@@elaine34567 totally agree, as I have a little bit accounting background ( ACCA level 2, but 30 years ago...) I already knew and agree that,fee for accounting professional , same as doctor, insurance..., is necessary ,compare with the possible money and time lost result from not having that

其實是非常之簡單任何國籍人士來到英國定居或申請有工作證而在英國打工就需交收入稅也需要交印花稅姐印花稅是用於在孩子讀書醫生看病或入院醫藥費用因在英國小孩子讀書直至中五都可以在公立學校讀是不需要費用，個人收入稅是扣除了你個人的免稅額後需交税也有分成幾種最低就是20%起，買保險或你們所謂的強積金英國是由於由得你個人決定因為大多數人都有政府的退休金可以私人買多一份保險你可以用來當為退休金等等。。當然啦如果你是做生意的交稅方式也不同其實同香港不是很大分別的。

I think a single person can survive with less than £2k a month depending where you live. It might not be comfortable but it's possible.

居留時段由入境計，正是問題所在，居留期未夠5年，visa已到期，怎申請settlement?一定要續期visa才可計由入境日到可申請settlement居英5年囉？一家幾口，要多付很多額外visa續期和nhs費用啊！

Canaan, 保重身體！順便問，LOTR入境要帶備一份Full Insurance ，當要睇醫生用NHS，當遇到非免費項目要自費。Full Insurance係乜嘢保險？ 唔該你。

What is the full insurance? Life insurance that covers health too? Some don't bother with health insurance and rely on NHS, some don't trust the NHS and get health cover too. It's up to the individual. Hope this helps.
