@@YuzukiGekijyouWell, its easy to say but its kinda hard for a 9 year old kid to that. Not to mention it took them 3 years to complete the series mainly because of the pandemic.
The director is Gen X. As a Gen X-er myself, I understand his sentimental attachment to what was good in the past and his commitment to create something close to the original because animes and their adaptations are both different these days.
20 episodes dubbed in Nihongo will be released in JP next month. I hope I can watch in the PH. As someone born in the ‘70s, I watched VV dubbed in English with my Millennial brother back in the ‘80s. But when I saw the acting in the trailer last year, I wasn’t interested to watch. YT suddenly made the Nihongo dub appear on my feed last week. The awesome and epic Japanese dub made up for the flat acting, so now I want to watch VV:L but in Japanese!

@@spirulinagirl4307 I'm also looking forward to the broadcast of the Japanese dubbed version of episode 20!
The JP dub is epic! -coming from someone in the PH who didn’t like the original language VV:L came in. I love my national language, but the Tagalog in the series sounded stiff to me. There’s also the unimpressive acting haha. The JP voice actors put so much soul in the JP trailer. Now I can’t wait to watch VV:L!, but in Nihongo!

@@spirulinagirl4307 I also think that the acting of Japanese voice actors is amazing!!
Actually the movie is more likely a re-edit version. If you will watch the Philippine version series, there is an explanation why the younger brother needs to pilot it. I don't want to spoil more. lol 😅

@@kasmotdmime The topic is very interesting, but I'll be careful not to know anything about it until I watch the TV series.
Even my die-hard anime-loving brother who got me to watch Voltes doesn’t want to watch the PH-made version. The disappointment of the Filipinos is palpable in the number of episode 1 views vs the episode 90 views. The difference between the number of views is huge. But hopefully, the Nihongo dub will save the series. It has already convinced me, a Gen X Sanrio girl, to watch the series

@@spirulinagirl4307 Maybe 90 episodes was too many. I hope the Japanese dubbed version will have fewer episodes so I can enjoy watching it.
@@YuzukiGekijyouThe budget for all 90 episodes was PHP 1 billion, which is about USD 17.1 million. Two-hour movies like Transformers cost USD 150-200 million to make. I hope the PH will have more budget for the Daimos live-action and include Japanese actors and actresses this time. Including a JP cast will put a pressure on the PH cast to do better. I know JP live action actors are good because I watched Bioman and Shaider in the ‘80s.
