It’s really fun to see someone not speaking Chinese traveling to China and I kinda felt like the experience is exactly like how I felt when I traveled to Japan 14 years ago before I learned Japanese and did an exchange program in Japan 😂 いまは日本語なんとか喋れて、少なくとも東京の人の英語力も段々上がって、多分中国もそうになるなかぁ…
Actually, same in Japan..but it is fine for me, because of the animate and game, so I can understand the most Japanese when people talk with me, but I only can speak few Japanese word.

日本にも来るけど「英語」でごり押すのはみっともないし失礼フランスやイタリアで馬鹿にされる行為だよ

“箱" in chinese is more like baggage/luggage/chest/big boxes to store things, that was why she said "什么箱子?" (what baggage are you talking about), the lady at restaurant actually had understood what you wanted was a doggy bag, then she had got confused because you repeated that again :D
I'm so glad you come to my hometown Suzhou,WELCOME!!The museum is open every Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00 (admission stops at 16:00) and is closed every Monday (except national holidays).Maybe that's why you can't go inside. My english is not good enough to express my thoughts,i hope u understand my words.

面白い動画、有難うございます。 ファミマの中国商標名を「全部の家」と理解するのはちょいと変なんですが、もしも「家族全員」のほうがスムーズになるんでしょうか。 And talking about using English in Shanghai, try young generation please, in our previous general English teaching, only words and grammar were emphasized, and listening and speaking were very poor. But interesting thing is, there are many older people (over 60 years old) who can speak Russian proficiently.
the translator app you r using is a mess( '︣ ͜ʖ '᷅) i think you should rather say“i want to pack them up” or “ can i have them to go”than “get them boxed”next time~

I really want to remind the blogger not to perform much naive as you can when come to China
Hi,Micchan!Mostly Chinese people don't speak English or Japanese. If you'd realize English being NOT an international language thru app by this trip, learn a new language asap or restudy Spanish. However,I don't care you it being trilingual besides English&Japanese. If you'd choose the later, diga me el Español!P.S,I'm a J guy in Osaka.
almost nobody in China speaks English. Do you think Xi Jinping or Huawei's CEO speaks English? It's strange you associate speaking English with wealth and success, that's some sad colonial mindset. It probably makes you tremble in awe when you see an American.
