This is actually really rare if for no other reason than it features Deborah Adair as Jill Foster on "The Young and the Restless." (I'm assuming that Liz Foster was telling her that John Abbott was planning to come over and ask to marry her.) The "Julie chick" is Julie Clegg McCandless who was played first by Kimberly Beck (in this clip) and then by Catherine Hickland. She was 'Juliet' to husband Tyler McCandless' 'Romeo'. Thanks for sharing this!

I am thinking it was Andy Richards who was coming over to propose. Deborah Adair's Jill looks very unsettled about this so it is not John Abbott. First Andy lost Jill to the Abbott father and then later lost Diane to the Abbott son. He ended up with Faron. And speaking of Diane, I was a big fan of Alex Donnelly who originated the role. The perfect actress for the part of Diane.

I watched Capitol. It was a pretty good soap but by the end it wasn’t. Too many different head writers killed the show. I remember that Tyler & Julie were quite popular. They even went on location to D.C.for an on location wedding. Then for some reason they replaced both the original actors shortly thereafter. I’m not sure why since at the time they were very big. I would love to watch Capitol on Amazon Prime or some other streaming device. Good memories.

It's the early 80's and someone's torturing Barbara, but it isn't James. What a riddle.

I wish someone had every single episode of Capitol, I've seen episodes here and there on KZbin, but most of the time every episode feels like the last one, just like the last one was a cliffhanger. I know the first episode starting in primetime and then they on Monday I heard started the daytime episodes, I think if i seen the first episodes I'd understand the characters must better. I wish I had the money to create a soap opera channel better than SoapNet, Capitol would be one of the soaps I'd run on it, along with so many others, it would be mostly daytime soaps except from about 9 p.m to about 3-4 a.m. I even have an idea for a soap opera game show, even if most tapes of soaps are destroyed up to the late 70's I still feel you could have an amazing soap channel, and also if you can get the rights from Procter and Gamble to run them, along with others. Soapnet passed on running so many good soaps it was crazy. Also for once in a while as a special could run some soap stars playing on game shows like Family Feud, Go, Trivia Trap, Wheel Of Fortune, but it would be a once in a while thing and I would probably air them on a weekend if i were to do that, if someone wanted to take my idea minus the soap opera game show and create a new soap opera channel better than soap net please go for it, Capitol I think got cancelled too soon, it was still in the middle of all the soaps on the air at the time.

Hey now, I loved Capitol. It was one of the reasons I moved to Washington, DC. LOL. But I loved Sloane Denning, I don't know who that Julie chick is.
