Marie Halbherr, I am located in the UK, and have not seen this clip or read these comments before. But I hope this reaches you, even six years later. Congratulating a nation of people because they see the value in the huge talent of a resident from another country, really is in extraordinarily bad taste and an example of the most amazing arrogance. I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN to IMAGINE that anyone would write that to the people of the United Kingdom, or Australia, or New Zealand, or Canada. Someone MIGHT be stupid enough to write it in the US but they would be soundly abused for it, rather than liked by 93 more people. No, this DOES NOT signify that Israel is the greatest nation on Earth. What it actually signifies is that they have sadly missed the point. That most despised of Jews, Jesus the Nazarene, was once asked what the greatest Commandment was. He ignored the TEN Commandments and said..... you know it .... "You shall love the Lord your God with all your Heart, and Mind , and Strength." ....... so that was OK, wasn't it? But then, to everyone's consternation he said "But there is another one, just as important!" "You shall love your neighbour as yourself!" "On these TWO laws depends all the Law and the Prophets!" THAT was a fairly outrageous thing to say. OK.... this comes from Leviticus... and it is crammed in with a lot of stuff about not wearing mixed fabrics, and not eating the wrong food, and not yoking an ass with an ox..... Is it really THAT important? So someone asks "Who is my neighbour?" and he tells a story- There was a man who was beaten up and robbed while on a journey, and was left lying for dead by the side of the road. A scribe came by and saw him lying there, and walked past on the other side. After a time, a priest came along, and he also walked past on the other side. Then a man from Samaria came along. He saw the man, and immediately went to his aid, bathed his wounds with oil and put him on his beast, and took him to an inn, where he paid his keep for several days. Jesus said "Which one of these men acted like a neighbour?" They said "He who helped the man" and Jesus said "Go and do likewise.". Now every Christian person in the world knows this story, but they do not fully understand it. What was the DIFFERENCE between the Samaritan, the Priest and the Scribe? Were they just two nasty people? It was a cultural difference, rather than a personal or truly religious difference. The Priest and the Scribe were both locked into notions of righteousness that were very much dependent upon following the rules. This same book of Leviticus details rules of cleanliness..... touching the battered body of that man might have involved getting blood, and possibly excrement on their hands. The Samaritan simply did not follow those rules, so he was free to do as his HEART led him. When you look at a person like Rose, you are looking at a woman, who in Israel is a foreigner, deemed fit to scrub floors and toilet bowls. She is a woman who has lovingly cared for the elderly, who has dressed ulcers and changed adult diapers, and patiently fed old people, one spoonful at a time. When you look at her, you are seeing one of God's blessed people. and through people like Rose, other people are blessed. And here you have replies saying "There is a reason Israel is God's people". ? Prophet after Prophet pointed the way...... and still Israel fails to see it!

Whatever other people says about the voice of Rose, I can say she's a good singer. She can bring out the song in her own way. I love Shiri for helping Rose in transforming her as a diva and a good singer. So why we dont help Rose by supporting her even by means of spiritual and moral support instead of criticism . Not so many people have guts to sing in many crowd like Rose.

Some says she is boring, etc, etc. But one cannot deny her talent, her great voice. Performance wise, all of them - the contestants- need to develop. What can you expect from these amateur contestants? My goodness! It is their first time to be on stage, to sing in front of TV, to sing to a large audience. Imagine yourself singing in front of 10 people you have not even met before, wouldn't that make you nervous? Wouldn't that make you uncomfortable? But all of these -performance, proper movements on stage, interpretation, diction and all other factors can be developed and learned. But with TALENT, you cannot learn it. Because TALENT is inherent, it is God-given. And Rose has such talent. Sometimes, we are terrible in expecting too much. We should look at ourselves first. Let us put ourselves in their position. The judges are very understanding because they know. They are more open-minded. They are not very judgmental in terms of nationality, origin, language, etc. I am so glad they are the judges because one should not put narrow minded people in such critical positions. It is my first time in getting to know the Israelis. And I am so glad that I am able to do that through this show. I have heard a lot of bad things being said about Israelis. But now, knowing how they can give such high respect, opportunity and support to a simple woman like Rose, all I can say is, I salute them. Love from Canada
