I was just 12yrs something when I saw this movie with my cousins in Delhi. Going to movies was an outing in those days hot Delhi summer and the theatre had air condition. Watching it in 2019 makes me nostalgic of those good old days (and no pollution in New-Delhi like nowadays), no more Nandaji, no more dashing Shashi Kapoor, only Lata didi still remains and what to say about beautiful Kashmir, Dal Lake and House boats, why has Kashmir turned into a nightmare for the present generation. Bollywood is now running to Switzerland, Austria, New-Zealand and no more to Kashmir. Very sad indeed

I have been listening to Bollywood songs since I was a teenager in the 70s, and they have been a soundtrack to much of my life. I used to tune in to local Asian stations if I could find them - at that time I had no knowledge of the languages, but the sounds and the melodies spoke volumes. Some years later I saw my very first movie, Teesri Kasam, and that led to a love of Indian cinema that continues to this day. This song in particular is very special to me - it takes me back to the time with my long lost habibi. I played this song over and over when we first met. It was not in our stars to stay together in this life, and more than 20 years have passed since we were separated. But this song always brings him back to me.
