THEY’RE BACK!!!! I’ve been watching your evolution of Jewish Music video for years and years now and this was NOT a disappointment! If anything the harmonies have gotten even richer, absolutely stunning arrangement. You guys are hands down the best Jewish a capella group out there! 👏👏

Rough translations (a few my own, many taken from the internet), since a lot of people are asking: 0:11-0:24 "O Come, let us sing to the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation." (Ps. 95:1) 0:24-0:32 "Set out, my beloved, to greet the bride; the 'face' of the Sabbath we shall greet." 0:32-0:39 "Come in peace, the crown of her husband, even with happiness and rejoicing..." 0:39-0:49 "Between me and the Children of Israel it is a sign for the ages..." (Ex. 31:17) 0:51-0:59 "Greetings (lit. peace be upon you), ministering angels-highest angels-from the Sovereign of the sovereign of sovereigns, the Blessed Holy One." 0:59-1:13 "Grace is deceitful, and beauty is vain; But a woman that fears the LORD, she shall be praised." (Proverbs 31:30) 1:13-1:25 "For You chose us and You sanctified us from all the nations." 1:25-1:36 "All who sanctify the seventh [day], called at night..." 1:36-1:46 "GOD. the Ruler of the world and the worlds..." 1:46-2:01 "GOD, how I long for the bliss of the Sabbath, united in secret with Your own fervent wish." 2:01-2:08 "Who dwells eternally, on high, and Whose name is sanctified." 2:09-2:23 "There is none like you, our Redeemer, [looking] towards the days of the Messiah" 2:24-2:31 "And our eyes shall see..." 2:31-2:39 "And it was, whenever the ark was to march on, that Moses would say..." (Num. 10:35) 2:39-2:58 "Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace." (Proverbs 3:17) 2:59-3:14 "Hearken O Israel: the LORD our God, the LORD is One!" (Deut. 6:4) 3:15-3:22 "Master of the world Who reigns, before every formation was yet created..." 3:22-3:30 "Blessed is the highest God, Who gave rest..." 3:30-3:37 "This day is honored above all days. for on it, the Rock of the worlds ceased laboring" 3:37-3:51 "Who grants release to lad and lass: As Who's eye's apple safe, they play." 3:51-3:58 "For if I guard the Sabbath, God will guard me..." 3:58-4:13 "An Ascent Poem. When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like men in a dream." (Ps. 126:1) 4:13-4:22 "A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." (Ps. 23:1) 4:22-4:34 "Your servant shall run like a gazelle..." 4:49-5:00 "You are blessed, LORD, Who separates between the sanctified and the ordinary." 5:00-5:07 "Elijah the prophet, Elijah the Tishbite: (who will usher in the) Messiah the son of David!"

I love your song and i truly appreciate How you all sing with beauty compose you do. Dont let go from y studs Akiva, i like him so much and what happened to Gedalia?
@BSBYLYHWH Жыл бұрын
I am glad you like Akiva and the members! Gedalia technically left from singing the group, yet he remains to support and assist within the group. So although he unfortunately might not make an appearance soon, he is still active within the productions (as far as I am aware, at least). But the reason why Gedalia left specifically becomes evident if you research him. He actually has a husband, and is a member of the LGBTQ community. Although he has some amazing talent and is a key to producing Y-Studs’ music, he might be a controversial counterpart to the overall look. I believe you know the stance mainstream Judaism takes regarding LGBTQ. The members are still his friends, but if he plays as a display member, people might get “the wrong idea”. I hope that answers your question!

That's such a vibe honestly.
@BSBYLYHWH Жыл бұрын
Yes, the song itself is very catchy and pleasant to listen to, as well as the meaning if you know the translations. However, “vibe” refers to “vibration”, as a vital element in Buddhism and Hinduism. So technically, the term “vibes” are religious, but not Jewish nor abiding in the Torah or TaNaKh.

@BSBYLYHWH Жыл бұрын
They speak with an American accent, if you are curious; if you want to learn the most “productive” Hebrew, I would suggest modern Israeli. It is very European-and-English influenced. However, although taking much more research and discernment, I find Biblical Hebrew to be quite interesting and most beautiful - it has a more Arabic sound than modern Hebrew, which makes sense. I am glad you would like to learn Hebrew! For me, after I learned the Hebrew alphabet, the language started to fall in place accordingly. And a little ironically, Biblical Hebrew is much easier and more consistent than Modern Israeli in my opinion.
