You are right sir about electrical 4 wheelers, even I am not considering to switch to electrical 4 wheeler as of now because of initial cost, charging time, range and charging infrastructure.I just get into electrical two wheeler as there is no issue with range as I do not travel long distance in 2 wheeler.Four wheeler electric vehicle era will start in around 2027/2028 onwards. When everything related to this will be next gen, price,range and charging time etc.

Sir I had just purchased Windsor in November. Car is too good . My one message to all manufacturers through you. 135 bhp and 200 NM torque is more than enough. Manufacturers should focus on range not on power. One thing I’m noticing when battery size increases manufacturers are increasing power resulting in compromising in range. EG b6e 9e including byd . I had been to Agra from Ghaziabad in Windsor and had to return back same day no chargers on taj express way immediately reaching Agra I rushed to charger 2 hours passed in this. One car with 80 kw battery and 125 bhp and 200 NM torque

CNG has been around for so many years. A few top reasons for this not being as popular as anticipated is - it has long queues for refilling, lesser availability of pumps and not much difference between prices of CNG & petrol. Most importantly, CNG cars cannot go beyond 200km. Similar is the case with EV - range anxiety and unavailability of charging points and average charging speed of 6 hours is something that people would not want to adapt to. Higher investment cost of EV vehicles and battery replacement after 4 years has always been a big reason to stay away from EV. Given how government has supported growth of CNG in terms of availability, if they do the same with EV - then EV will not fly at all. Availability of fast charging points is the only way to support its growth. Its like me having fast charging mobile, but fast chargers are difficult to find - so there is no point buying a phone that supports fast charging. Same is with EV

I have booked a Windsor EV Essence without baas; is it required to insure the battery separately with a normal car insurance policy? In case of an accident whether lifetime warranty policy on battery will cover the damage? Should I go for an extended warranty on this car as it comes with a 3 yr normal warranty?
