First heard Schenker play on a mate’s brand new Strangers In The Night 1979 when I was 16. Blew me away. The fact that he was playing live awesome note for note studio recording guitar solos I’d not experienced with any other rock guitar player. Tracks such as Only You Can Rock Me, Lights Out, I’m A Loser, Out In The Street, THTH - every track note perfect. Saw him live in London with MSG first album & his energy & playing was superlative. Have followed his self expression since 1979 - now 44 years. Will never be another Michael Schenker. He’s unique & a constant pleasure to listen to.

I recently heard some people in other videos calling Michael full of himself and even a douchebag. He knows what he's worth and what he bring to the table. His words might sound pretentious sometimes but they're just the truth. He inspired a whole lot of great players and never hid his admiration for Leslie West, Jeff Beck,Jimmy Page etc. to those who critic just give him a break and check out what he's done from the early eighties to now

I don't know, I rarely hear anyone talk about Michael's '80s stuff. I like UFO a lot of course, but that's all anyone ever associates him with from what I hear and see.

I agree. I love the UFO and his stuff with Barden and Bonnet, but I also equally, if not somehow markedly more, loved the McAuley years. I think he really was at a kind of peak during those albums.
