I'm Malaysian. I've lived in Canada for 6 years, Singapore for 10 years, and now just moved to UK. I must say it is really not easy to adapt UK's environment and culture and way of life. I'm still struggling to find a job that commensurates with my education and experience. Everything has to start all over again.

@@isellallmythings You can buy an Electric Vehicle, normally these are automatic so it would be easy to handle. Besides, EV would be able to enter Clean Air Zones (will become a norm in various big cities) without charges.
I am Hong Kong as you and I have immigrated to Milan when I was 21 years old . I like very much my life here in Europe ... all the best to you and your family .
From my 50 years of experience, making friends with local (non-Chinese ) people was the most significant contributor to my deep immersion into the new world. For example, I would not have the "smart" to name every different kind of donuts at the bakery without my new American friends. They also taught me how to fix up old cars, fishing(hence, my name Bigbass), targets shooting...and most cherished, being an individual and freedom to voice my own opinion. These are the things that made me an American. Your English skillset is absolutely important to allow you to compete in the new world. Have a hard time with your spoken English accent and some ppl could not understand you? You may want to seriously consider getting some formal/professional training to improve your accent and improve your English. Not easy but imperative! You know, it takes a lot of courage to leave a place of comfort, cross the big oceans, and venture into a strange new world. You have the DNA of an explorer! You can do it!!
