A longing song for home, A love song for the Land of Israel A journey to the soil, to the roots This is your home, your destination, this place is calling you to come "and your children shall come again to their own border" HOME The month of Nissan is the month of redemption that embodies the special return of the people of Israel to their land and their liberation from slavery to freedom. To a large extent, this journey is not over yet. Our brothers and sisters *scattered throughout the world are consistently fulfilling the Jewish Zionist dream and returning to Israel to their home. Even today, after being released from a long military service, I am happy to continue to contribute to our people through music. These days, together with the World Zionist Organization and the Ministry of Absorption, we are marking this important event. Considering this special period I found myself wondering about the similarity in the exodus of the people of Israel from Egypt and their transformation into one nation. In fact, the HOME project was born in a very similar way - a song that praises the arrival to the land of Israel and the return to home. The song features American singer and songwriter Joshua Aharon, who is himself a new immigrant . Joshua told me how he always grew up in a conflict - being a son of Christian father and a Jewish mother. His grandmother begged him - "Do not forget that you are a Jewish." One day - something in him changed - he decided to reconnect with his Judaism, put a successful musical career at risk, and moved to Israel. His story touched me so much that right after we finished the conversation we made- I wrote and composed the song HOME- Home May we all always have the privilege to get back home.

One of my favourite songs, is Bereshit Olam. Often listen to it. Have a few songs that I love to listen to. You song 'Home' is tops. Makes me very homesick. Shalom. I grew up in Gaza and moved to Canada in 1988. In 2006 my husband, myself and our 3 kids went back to visit his family in Israel. I would love to make Aliyah to Isreal but I am divorced and want my daughters and grandchildren to know their Jewish roots through my family line and understand they have Jewish Blood!
