Dear sir , my son-in-law is building a y1200 CO2. He asked me to help with the connection of the power supply and the steppe motors. My question to you is what kind of cables (mm2) do you use for the whole circuit with greetings Joost

really impressive build. what firmware are you running on the controller that enables the U axis for rotary

Thanks for the comment, this is the RDC6445S, note the 'S' at the end, and using V26.01.13 firmware. Requirements for getting rotary working are (using Lightburn): 1. Enable Rotary in machine settings 2. Select Start From Current Position in Laser settings 3. Press Origin on the Ruida controller 4. Send the job to the Ruida from Lightburn 5. Press Start at the Ruida controller to begin the rotary job This is using the U axis of the controller, no trickery swapping out the Y access or similar. It's fairly straight forward to do, though tricky when you don't have a list like this to start with ;). Maybe I should do a video on the rotary addon.

@@ebswift thanks for the reply. I also built the y1200 and use the same controller. Now I am looking to add a rotary and would prefer to just add an additional stepper driver and use the U axis. There is a ton of incomplete or bad information about what controllers work and the specific firmware needed. I think a video on this subject would be valued if you made it.

@@1010tesla No worries, I'll see what I can do. It certainly was a fair amount of work trying to piece together information, configure things and run tests - with the controller being so widely used it shouldn't be that hard

Could you give some extra info about the ceiling vent? Seems hard to find here in europe 😕
