Y1Q1 Lesson 1 - Day 7: Nature Hike: Trees 🌳

I'm partial to sycamore trees because two of them saved my life back in March, 2012 by catching my house, which was being blown away in a tornado. The house splintered and was shredded, and the two trees were destroyed, but I survived thanks to those two sycamores, and the Lord, of course. I only had two broken ribs and a bunch of superficial cuts. I didn't even have to go to the hospital.

Great lesson in trees. I have a book on identifying trees. My favorite tree is the cedar. Old timers use to put cedar wood in the drawers because it smelt so good. My late mom taught me that. Great video 👍👍

I love this video because I love trees. Sycamore is one of my most love along with mimosas trees. The sweetest bloom. Black walnut is not the best for growing gardens by. Many veggies do not like the poison it roots give away.

Titus, have you noticed morel mushrooms growing around the sycamore trees in the spring. They are very good to eat and alot of people here in Virginia hunt for them every spring. Also they are found near older apple orchards in our area.

I think that Titus should ask god to help him delegate things just a little bit more. He’s so excited and wants to do everything all at once. I’ve prayed for the first time in 30 years last night and I did ask of god that he would ensure me he’d do it with tact so as not to hurt his feelings. I was pretty specific on the way it be delivered at the right time and the right place and definitely not to hurt his feelings. It can be very beneficial and liberating when each has a job to promote self worth and inclusion. Just a thought…❤

I have read the KJV many, many times, from Genesis to Revelation. I read a chapter or two every night. I have never given much importance to trying to memorize exact chapter or verse numbers. Some people believe that if you can’t recite the exact book, chapter, and verse number that a particular scripture is at, then you don’t really know your Bible. I believe the real importance of any scripture is understanding the true meaning of what you are reading, and not spending so much effort trying to expend all of your time and energy trying to memorize numbers, instead of seeking the true meaning of His Word. That is also the same reason why I am not too fond of a lot of “Bible studies”. For the most part, when I read the Bible (even the KJV), it is plain as day what it means. I don’t need someone to tell me “what it REALLY means”. For instance, you could read something in the Bible that says “The sky is blue”. Pretty simple to understand, right? Seems pretty cut-and-dried to me. But then you will attend a Bible study group who will want to dissect every single word in that sentence. The next thing you know, someone tells you “Well, the original Hebrew or Greek word for “house”, was “Skye” and there are several references in a thousand year old version of the Bible where the word “blue” was referred to as “Fyre”, so basically what this scripture REALLY means, is that your house is on fire!”. 😳 - NO IT DOESN’T!!! It means the sky is blue, just like it says! I wish people would simply read the Bible for the very plain, simple truth that it contains and quit trying to misinterpret it for what they want it to mean, or spending so much of their time trying to memorize chapter and verse numbers that they completely miss the meaning of what they are reading. Run that past Titus - I would be truly interested in hearing what he has to say about this! Thanks! 😉

Tree in the ancient language of Sanskrit is "padapa". Pada means feet and pa means drinks. Which entity drinks (pa) with feet (pada)? TREES! The tree is made to draw water from the legs. A very nice verse is there also that says that one should be as tolerant as a tree, devoid of false prestige, and ready to offer all respects to others when spreading the message of the Lord. The tree doesn't complain in the bitter cold, nor the scorching heat, but goes on giving shade, leaves, bark, fruit, or berry and nuts. Tolerance is necessary because for one who is living in this material world there will be so many disturbances. A very simple humble believer was asked : "What is your conviction?" He said: "Sir, I believe in this way. I am sitting under this tree. This is a banyan tree. There are so many what is called "figs" falling down. In each fig there are thousands of small seeds, and in each seed there is a banyan tree. So if the Lord can keep thousands of banyan trees within this fig fruit, how it is not possible for Him to pull an elephant through the hole of a needle?" This is called faith. The faith is not blind. There is proof! My father picked out a lot to build our house on that had 6 big English walnut trees on it. The whole block had these walnut trees in rows, as it used to be an orchard. It was likely planted by the farmers who left their own country of Northern India because of persecution (Siks). They are great farmers. Some were persecuted for protesting human rights violations. Well I had a nice treehouse in one of those trees!

30:36 reminds me of God's Rebecca, our first child, who carried stray cats with her and nurtured them, pray for her please, we did not have the information when we were young parents and allowed Big Pharma to vaccinate her which caused Crohns disease, RA and a list of medical concerns.
