I graduated in 2001, this is so fucking accurate. They made the graduating class wear silver robes, and since it was Florida, everyone was fake tanned and orange and silver and they looked like 7-11 hot dogs. I turned 18 before graduation, got a tattoo, and went to an outdoor music festival instead of graduation. I remember wearing my two camisoles that were basically underwear over a rhinestone bra, and low-rise fake snake-print pleather boot leg pants with my chunky Steve Maddens. Like, people who weren't old enough to recall it think you guys are exaggerating, but you're very much not.

I was 19 and spent all summer saving money to move out from home. That winter was far from glamorous but we managed to Big Ben for midnight. London Eye was supposed to have grand opening, but it was 15 minutes late due to technical issues. I was born at the turn of the decade (89). Ahh the "menthol/isopropyl alcohol says hi" branch of scrubbing skin. I also still do the no-no way by rubbing my face with alcohol swabs/pads occasionally, don't worry most of the time I wash my face like a normal person. There are also times where I wipe itchy spots on other parts of my body with said swabs too, since it's better than scratching my skin off with my dirty nails. I think by the end of the 2000's I was dealing with really bad acne and we were looking at those types of cleansers/skincare sets. I graduated from HS in the late 2000's. before my state implemented Common Core. Good old fashioned proper math, even if it was difficult, at least you're doing math using actual numbers.

I’ll never forget Y2K on New Years when my friends and I were all counting down in my friends basement and at midnight her dad turned all the lights off and we screamed bloody murder bc we thought it was the apocalypse. Ahh, the good ol days.

The sad thing is, I was 22 in the year 2000 and I can't believe that was 22 years ago... I remember standing on the central reservation outside The Fairfield Halls in Croydon, watching the fireworks and hoping the cash machines were going to start giving out free money because of "the bug".. no such luck!!... 😎✌🏼💜💜💜

I don't know about thst particular scent but I have to admit to being a 33 year old with one of those sprays in my work locker (because I'm in a warehouse and it's a better base smell than sweat) 😂

I think it's the combination of So, Impulse and Victoria Secret spray simultaneously that makes it so overpowering 🤣 No hate to those that love it, I'm sure on its own it's lovely ✌

The sound of that body glitter roller literally gave me a flashback!!!! Also Robert’s brows 🤣🤣🤣. Also still low key attracted to boys with a middle part bowl cuts. The 2000’s really got me … like they got me.

Omg I loved the inflatable furniture🤣🤣 And the colorful see-through phones that I HAD to have in my room?! My cool level went up 50 notches once I got my see through colorful phone. 😎

I wanted one of those phones so bad!! 😭 I was always so jealous of Clarissa explains it all because the had a phone line in her room and a see through phone!

@@RobertWelsh yup that's where I got it! I literally called everyone I knew once I got my dad to put a phone line in my room and told them to make them so jealous and just to let everyone know I am officially the coolest girl in Juneau because I had a pink bean bag chair, light blue blow up chair, AND a clear colorful phone in my room. I was the queen of that town as far as I was concerned🤣🤣🤣

@@RobertWelsh I had one of them! I think it was made by CONAIR (they also made hair dryers?!?) and they had them at the drugstore for like $20 😂 the 80s were wild, lol

I had one of those too(and my own line in my room)but it broke really fast so I ended up with a lip phone. It was big ole red lips and honestly it was HUGE for my kitty bitty 14(I'm not entirely convinced I was 14) year old head.

I had Roberts tank top, haircut, eyebrows and hair clips going into 2000 😭💀I'm so dead. The Tomagatchi and denim bucket hat on James were the icing on the cake 😚👌 *chef's kiss* 😂

We had a big New Years Eve party in 1999 and my brother snuck downstairs so he could hit the main breaker right when it hit midnight. Logically, we knew it wasn't really Y2K happening but tbh, there was a brief moment of "oh, shit"😳😂
