So emotional. Well produced and representative of what happened that summer, which I was proud to watch on ABC.

Another thing ESPN will also do right if NBC were to lose it after 2020: The Olympics.

To you y2santos4usa, I say thanks for this great post. I loved the 2010 World Cup--it was the world party. This opening masterpiece brought it back in a flood of tears. My lady friend and I planned our summer around it--watched nearly every match, talked about each one in "rehash" sessions, thought out our brackets. We are going to Brazil in 2014.

"South Africa, dancing to the rhythm of life hmmmmm hmmmmm", and "this year it unfolds in the cradle of human kind" i love this whole video, but that those parts give me a very humbling feeling. Thank you South Africa you were great, please host another World Cup :))

@RollOnToVictory After the loss to England, back at the town, the "Trinis" had Rottenburg jumping to the sounds of steel pan and calypso. Trinidadian singers in the square creating a carnival like atmosphere. Do you know wha t a man from Mozambique asked me? He said, " How u ppl party like this? You lost the match" I told him, "brother, in Trinidad, win, lose or draw, we party the same way... one life, one love!" Bro, you probably need to live it to understand.

@RollOnToVictory Why are u so bitter? The World Cup is the one time the whole world has a common interest. wars have been put on hold for this event. I am from Trinidad and Tobago. We only qualified for the World Cup once (2006) and when the team and supporters got to Rottenburg, we could have sworn we were back home. Red, white and black greeted us not only in the hotel, but all over town. It was amazing to see the love shown to the World Cup's smallest team! This is what the World Cup does!

@AlJaldan Who cares? Be happy for South Africa, they put on a great World Cup (much better than Germany), and there was plenty of football/soccer. Get over it.
