4X4 DNA had their first Warrior in the workshop this week. But how different is it really to a normal Y62? 🤷🏼♀️ Watch as we look from front to back at what is different and what is the same 👀k

Your concerns about the rear suspension are valid. We just had a full "weigh my ride" assessment done. With 344 on the ball (mostly due to towing a single axle van with a long drawbar at the front which pushes more weight forward) we went from a total rear axle load on the Patrol of 1592kg to 2100kg and a -2 degree tow angle. As an aside, front axle load went from 1632kg to 1471kg. We will be coming to see you guys soon to correct the problem but it hurts after the premium cost paid for the Warrior.

U already know my thoughts on them! lol

The only thing I like on the warrior is the tow bar, rear bar, and flares. If premcar weren’t tightarses and sold them as spare parts I’d def buy them.

I have airbags in the warrior with no issues so far, supplier sought technical information from Premcar. You are spot on with the rear recovery points, what’s with that hole size

Hi mate, would upgrading the Warrior 30mm springs to your Dash 40mm springs all round require any additional work/consideration? What are your thoughts on spring spaces for potential bull bar sag?
@DASHOffRoadАй бұрын
You probably don’t have to upgrade the front, only the back if you’re towing

I think you mean pressure not vacuum with regards to the exhaust. The valve in the oem muffler is spring loaded so it needs pressure to push against the spring to open the valve. Vacuum would keep it shut.

Yeah, you are correct 👍

Thank you for making that comment because I was starting to doubt physics:)

from my 10 minutes of research i can see the rear muffler has a bimodal valve just before it which remains open. when closed, it shuts off the rear muffler and forces it out the side pipe

Do you think it’s worth the extra money as I was going to get a new TI and then do the mods as I have a 7 m boat to tow and your saying I would have to change the springs anyway and does the price for the car vary much from east to west
@DASHOffRoad4 ай бұрын
Each to their own. IMO I’d probably use the coin to get a TiL. It just depends what you are chasing

Not sure if it’s known, I asked Nissan if I could purchase some Warrior parts for my Y62 and it was a definite No.

Just find an owner and borrow their vin 🤥

@@DASHOffRoadit’s a bit more locked down than that. There’s a lot more scrutiny on ownership

How much would a Dash Samurai cost compared to Nissan warrior?
@DASHOffRoad4 ай бұрын
SAMURAI will probably be $50k more than a Warrior
