The TikToker's reckless behavior must be penalized to prevent future incidents. By live-streaming without the consent of Ethiopian Airlines workers and pressuring staff to proceed with a canceled flight due to bad weather in Mekele and Addis Ababa, he put safety at risk and disrespected the airline personnel. Managing an aircraft requires strict professional discipline and ethics-it's far more serious than streaming on TikTok. A live stream does not equate to the responsibilities of a captain; they are entirely different and should not be confused. Ethiopian Airlines, our national carrier, is globally recognized for its safety, service, and reliability, representing Ethiopia with pride. This individual's actions not only endangered lives but also tarnished the reputation of our respected airline. There are concerns that his behavior may have been influenced by external parties with hostile intentions toward Ethiopia. The government should thoroughly investigate his motives and connections, penalizing him to protect Ethiopian Airlines' integrity and deter similar behavior in the future.
