Honestly, why do they even have the damn ball in a curved tube thing? It's much more intuitive to use the bottle of water.

This might be a stretch but I'm guessing it saves space and the ball centered in between to lines is easier to see than a big ass bottle of water. Step on the water to coordinate turn? Doesn't sound right.

People are mixing up coordinated turns with G-force. They’re not related. The water will still be level in an uncoordinated turn. It’s the application of G-force (through the elevator) down the aircraft’s vertical axis that’s keeping it level.

Same thing. A coordinated turn will result in no side g forces, hence.

@@silience4095 not quite. Imagine you’re in a steep dive, but doing a coordinated turn. The water will flow out of the front of the glass. Now imagine you pulled back. The G-force from the back stick will now keep the water in the glass. Remember that in order to keep a turn level so you don’t nose-down due to the loss of lift, coordinated not, you need to pull back on the stick. It’s G-force, not coordinated turns!

@@colourwheel20 The turn coordinator does not measure the tilt of the local G forces forward/backward, but if it did, it would be like I said. The ball in the turn coordinator is really just a spirit level that measures the direction of the local Gs.

@@silience4095 I realise that, I was trying to explain that it's G-force. Another way to explain: you can keep the water in the glass when doing a loop. Again, it's due to G-force, and of course nothing to do with coordinated turns :)

@@colourwheel20 But a coordinated turn happens when the local g force is pointing down, considering only its component along the roll axis. I mean, the sensor is just a ball on a curve. It follows the local g force. The turn coordinator is really just a spirit level.

would have been nice to see an out of coordination turn to see the difference .. video is fairly useless without it
